I have had this problem before but usually it self corrects or is gone if I close and re-open...

The first thing I do is click in the cell I want to edit in an exisiting spreadsheet but it acts as if I've never released the click so that everytime I move the cursor it moves and highlights everything in the path. No keys clear it out, etc. If you try to close excel it give this wierd error message that reads: "Excel cannot close". The microsoft error reporting help recommends upgrading... but I'm bound to graduate in May with NOT having to buy a new MS Office system... seeing as I'll probably get it paid by the company when I graduate.

Any help?
