Against UNC. Here are our keys.We can victor this game. We dominated V-tech, carolina got blown out, hence we victor. Fact. All we need to do is;1)execute, don't get caught up in those offensive traps2)continue to utilize that 8-9 man rotation3)double down on hansborough4)take advantage of that mid-range jumper that unc poorly defendsI spent all week studying this unc offense and the miami game helped me out a great deal. Here is pretty much what we'll be facing all day. This is the Tyler pick and roll. They execute this with astounding speed and athleticism. I'm really suprised that teams haven't discovered this or how to stop it. It's really simple in it's entirety. We should give the zone d early in the game to prevent Tyler from waring up. A little double team against him wouldn't hurt either. With Gavin and fells penetrating, noone can stop that. Fells/Gavin are easy comparison to T mac and really make it hard for teams to defend them. We just really need to stick by our boys and support them.

By the way. Where are you? Are you really "somewhere?" Given your negativity and bitterness evident in your postings, I think you are waiting tables at someplace like Denny's.

Exactly, we need to defend those lanes they are nothing without those lanes. If we deny them access to the low post and lanes we stand a shot.ErnieAlso, get this straight---I've proven you incorrect multiple times.Geez. You really are not a nice person. And no. I don't actually believe that everything you said is true, but I do realize that you believe it. That's too bad. Now that you have effectively put me in my place with your crafty and insightful insults, perhaps you can move on to other topics more worthy of your expert opinions. You have made no points ernie! All you do is troll, oh---and by the way I never said that unc was one dimensional. You're a great fabricator tho, honestly. So your request for me to "rebuff" anything you said would be futile wouldn't it?You've never and I mean never said anything worthy of "rebuffing". Fact.

Tyler was shut down against arizona in the first half, due to effective double team play. In the second half is where he scored the majority of his points. He finished with 26, so... I think dteaming would be a good idea.

Look, we can shut down any one player we want. But we can't shut down ALL of their players.[Edited on February 2, 2007 at 8:05 PM. Reason : and all of them are good enough to beat us.]

2/2/2007 8:13:00 PM
If they do anything other than shoot 6% and we manage to win, it'll be a no-kidding, honest-to-goodness MIRACLE.Do I want us to win? Of course.Do I think we can win if we play out of our minds? We've got a shot.Am I more concerned about the Canes beating the second-worst team in the league later that night? Absolutely.

2/2/2007 8:45:07 PM
If you don't have faith, you're fake?It seems to me that articulating your realistic expectations is anything but.
2/2/2007 8:46:42 PM
So "points" are your ONLY way to judge ones productivity? Wow---that is some crazy logic.
2/2/2007 8:47:08 PM
Earl judges productivity in missed shots and fouls, doggy. Fact.
2/2/2007 8:48:29 PM
^Bringing someone in while your key players get a 'breather'/ recollect themselves is a rotation. We are not the dad-gom suns, so I apologize that our bench failed to scrore 30pts for you. Maybe we will next game.

You don't have an iota of intelligence about basketball then. You instead vision the glass as half empty than half full. Substitutions are pointless by the way you just put it. I see it as giving our guys a "breather" and getting a little experience in big game situations. It worked. We victored. it you want to call it pointless then be my guess.
2/2/2007 9:17:11 PM
I didn't say it was pointless, I said we didn't have good bench players. And I'm all for giving the starters a few minutes of breather, but they need to be out on the floor AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.And in case you didn't notice, all the starters played at least 35 minutes except fells. That's 7/8 of the game. That's about the right amount IMO[Edited on February 2, 2007 at 9:21 PM. Reason : ]

this is the classic "trap game" for unc. All I've heard about the past few days is carolina v duke next weekIf the heels are thinking like that too, could be an interesting night.
