2/1/2007 3:36:34 PM
lol calm down the hitlery thing was joke I'm not actually comparing them. But she is kind of an extremist in her own way. Look I have no opinions between the liberal candidates I just want to know if most of Obama is hype anyway, just like Dean or whatever, but i guess most politicians are.

The crap about no one knowing anything about him is dumb. It's all out there for anyone who wants to read it. In fact, he wrote a book about his beliefs, which became a New York Times bestseller. I respect his life story a great deal, and from what I've read of his last book, I really like his views on America and government. (summary: http://wikisummaries.org/The_Audacity_of_Hope )That, and it'd be refreshing to have a President who's mostly self-made, intelligent, and doesn't come off as a dumbass every time he speaks.

Agreed in the sense that Barack Obama's beliefs and stances have been clearly documented, both through his books and his voting record in the Illinois legislature. His books are articulate and well written, spinning a solid story. Where I think he may potentially face a bit of a hurdle is with his voting record: he has near perfect voting ratings from traditionally "progressive" organizations such as the Americans for Democratic Action, the AFL-CIO, and Planned Parenthood. I don't think that this has been advertised clearly yet, but I believe he may be able to mitigate the impact with a clear policy vision.I believe he is a good man, very intelligent, and a fine public servant. I disagree with a good chunk of his political stances, but I have a lot of respect for him.[Edited on February 1, 2007 at 5:29 PM. Reason : .]

partly because he reminds us of Billy and the good times that coincided with Bill's tenure -- may be ill-fated if congress stays Democratic (need gridlock) partly because he seems to Bush what O'Brien seems to be to Amato -- and i'm tired of the 'he doesn't have experience' card people play. i mean seriously, look at the management whiz we have in there now.and partly because his life story speaks to us.

can republicans explain why they think Bush is a good president?or why they even like him?or if he was even more qualified then his previous competitors for presidency?
2/1/2007 6:26:26 PM
Experience doesn't matter to the average American. They like someone with a likable personality than someone with a good deal of experience. So, to put it simply, he makes a better candidate than a President.[Edited on February 1, 2007 at 6:28 PM. Reason : ]

lets see...bush was the governor of a huge state....i would say that gives him some managerial skills...and bush sucks....hows that....forget bush..like i said...without mentioning bush (which you probably cant do) why would barak be a good president??anyone??anything??

what qualifications are you looking for? What in your mind makes someone qualified for office? But these accomplishments are nothing to scoff at either.-elected president of the Harvard Law Review-worked for the civil rights law firm Miner, Barnhill & Galland-taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School-Illinois State Senate 1996-2004; chairman of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee.-2004-on US Senate-sponsored 152 bills and resolutions brought before the 109th Congress in 2005 and 2006, and cosponsored another 427
2/1/2007 6:28:25 PM
no thier not...but alot of people have alot more qualifications than those...AND they have some experience running something....barak has none of that
2/1/2007 6:29:41 PM
2/1/2007 6:30:55 PM
