I'm the audio/video engineer for a large club/restaurant here in town that has live music 5 nights a week. The guy I hired to fill in for me when my band plays (and just to have a night off) apparently isn't working out with the management of the place. So it looks like I have to replace him.Your job would include:*setting the bands up with mics, stands, DI's and whatever else they need before performing.*running a 32 channel board (which we generally use half of) during that performance and also providing a light show, stage light show and video of the show on the tv screens of the place.*breaking down the mics and stands and cables after the show and making sure everything is accounted for*most important....making sure I don't get bitched at by the club owners when I come to work the next nightI'm willing to train someone new, but you must have some knowledge of audio and light production.Pay is up to $100 per night depending on experience. Once you get established pay is more. You also eat for free. You will also make connections with the many acts that come thru. You will only work 2-3 times a month until spring and then once or twice a week. It's a $200,000 sound and light system in an 8 million dollar venue so if you are an idiot do not respond. It's a perfect opp for somebody looking to get into this type of business. This place is no joke and you must act professional. I have had many opps to go and work with some regional acts as a tech. That's where the connection part comes in.pm me if you think you can handle it.
