1/25/2007 9:19:15 PM
The West reserves could beat the East startersNashAIMeloDirk AmareMaybe not, but it'd be close
1/25/2007 9:23:29 PM
shaq??? motherfuckers played like 1 game
1/25/2007 9:23:40 PM
its all votesfans are idiots
1/25/2007 9:24:26 PM
^^yeah last night was his 5th i believe...4 early season, and he just came back...only played 14 minutesyao is hurt but he was ballin before he got injured
1/25/2007 9:26:16 PM
no way shaq should be starting, let alone playing. bogut or ilgauskas should be starting.
1/25/2007 9:34:17 PM
or the league's leading rebounder Dwight Howard
1/25/2007 9:39:28 PM
no respect for this popularity contest bullshit
1/25/2007 9:39:33 PM
(a healthy) Shaq is still the most dominant center in the leaguewith the exception of his injuries and McGrady's missed games I dont see any problems with the lineups...i wouldve put Nash over T-Mac but thats about it
1/25/2007 9:42:13 PM
im so glad Gilbert made it over Vince
1/25/2007 9:56:59 PM
^yea i was about to mention that.he just barely beat himon pti the other day they were acting like it was known that he wouldnt make itgg gilbert
1/25/2007 10:34:41 PM
^^^ignoring the fact that all star teams are supposed to be a reward for a player's performance this season, not hey lets let the fans throw the most hyped players together so more people will watch
1/25/2007 11:20:43 PM
^well aside from shaq and tmac, who on that list doesnt deserve to be there as a starter?
1/25/2007 11:23:19 PM
I don't know what's worse, the fact that Shaq is starting or that Nash isn't
1/25/2007 11:24:24 PM
i think most people who arent rockets or lakers fans would agree that nash should start at PG for the Westbut this is just the all star game...its not the NBA All First Team...its FOR the fans...and even though I think Nash should start over McGrady, the All Star game (at least the first 3 quarters) is about entertaining the fans with alley oops and trick passes...again Nash has no problem with trick passes, he just cant catch them for 180 dunks
1/25/2007 11:28:08 PM
right, the all-star game is about the STARS not the mvpsobviously the people with the most votes are the biggest starsi mean ming has started center since he came into the league even though most years he doesnt deserve. i'm a rockets fan, but with him being hurt and amare playing well lately, amare makes more sense as a starter.but what are you gonna do? i mean, dampier got more votes than camby and okur, does that make sense?
1/25/2007 11:46:13 PM
yao will be a starter every single year he plays in the leagueunless somehow india gets a population boom and has a phenom center that starts playing in the western conference]
1/26/2007 12:01:16 AM
Okafor got snubbedGordon and Joe Johnson also missed out for the EastKidd and Carter both made it...they are announcing them on TNT right now, cant get a full list yetand Barkley is saying Eddie Curry should be on there? Fuck that...Curry is nowhere near an All Star...more turnovers than (assists + blocks + steals)[Edited on February 1, 2007 at 7:12 PM. Reason : .]

man thats shit that Nash didnt get it, hes my boy phoenix is tearing that shit up all the way this year baby either them or dallas either way one of my two favorites is going to win
2/1/2007 7:12:25 PM
^he didnt get it because he cant dunk like mcgrady and the fans vote the startershe'll easily be the first reserve

OKafor is having a big year but he's young and the talent pool is very deep right now.Eddy Curry should absolutely not be on the all star team. All he does is score. He doesnt rebound, defend, or anything. He's a black hole on a bad team. I love Barkley but if he really said that he's clearly mistaken.
2/1/2007 7:24:27 PM
yeah that was about the most off base thing either kenny charles magic or ernie has said so far...they're pretty much on point other than thatlike pointing out how the fucking new jersey nets get 2 all stars and the mavs get 1^sure Okafor is young but if he keeps his play up he'll be a top contender for defensive player of the year[Edited on February 1, 2007 at 7:28 PM. 2/1/2007 7:27:46 PM
man he is a punk ass allways undercheaving, even in college everyone else carried him to that championchip
2/1/2007 7:31:17 PM
yeah if he was a real champion he'd be shooting guns out a car a few blocks from the White House
2/1/2007 7:34:07 PM
bttt
2/16/2007 4:31:52 PM
Emeka Okafor should be playing
2/16/2007 4:36:10 PM
do the fans actually vote on this. somebody was arguing it today and i didn't know. i heard its different throught the sports.
3/6/2007 2:39:16 AM
fans vote on the starters, coaches vote on reservesalso if a fan-voted starter is injured (like Yao Ming for example) the coaches select the replacement
