Who gives a damn about page 2 writers.

They don't know shit about sports, all they can do is make funny articles.

And he has the 2005 steelers as #41

They sucked balls

This proves that the ESPN writers are jackasses.

That year we:

-Beat the defending SB champs twice

-only lost 1 division game (in ot in ATL)

-won 2 playoff games on the road

-dominated Philly and Dallas in the playoffs, and won a 2ot playoff game against arguably the best team in the NFC that year (st louis)

-beat indy @ indy

Quote :
"they lost three straight games late in the season"

-we also beat all those teams at other points in the year (2 in the playoffs)

and damn near (I still contend we would have won if not for the kickoff beat the juggernaut that year when these same experts gave us 0 chance.

I'm not saying we were one of the best, probably not even top half, but this is crazy.

Argue against it logically. They had a ridiculously easy schedule that year and didn't exactly blow everyone away. It was also a 14-game regular season...not 16-game like a few of the teams ranked ahead of them.

I actually went through and read the write up for every single team. Good stuff. Everyone can make up an argument and disagree...but they did a damn good job.

^^^my point is that if they significantly take down the Panthers' ranking because of 3 straight late season losses, wouldnt they have to put a team in the 1st spot that had ZERO losses? not that I have any problem putting one of Montana's SF teams in 1st...but the 72 Fins should definitely be top 5...they still did something no other team has ever done

Pretty dumb point if you ask me. And they had other reasons why the Panther's were so low.
