Hey,
I am starting to train for a marathon, which I plan on running at the end of March or in April. There are a few possibilities still - Atlanta, Ocean City Maryland, Charlottesville (VA) or Nashville.

I am actually looking for someone that either is training for one or would like to start, especially to run the long weekend runs with me. (10+ miles distances).

If anyone is interested in having a running partner or just run occasionally, let me know!

- Andy

are you going to do the music city marathon in Nashville? I've heard good things about that one.

I ran 8 miles last weekend and 10 miles this weekend. I am planning on increasing it 2 miles every weekend. Last week i ran 20 miles total and that will go up to 40 or so. (3-8 mile runs during the week 3 or 4 times).

The Nashville music city marathon is a possibility. A little far from here, but Nashville is a nice city. The one ING Atlanta marathon looks nice, but it might be too early for me, regarding training for it.

i've heard that 10% increase of your mileage is about what you should shoot for. not an expert by any means, but that's what i've heard.

Just do it by yourself. I didn't train with anybody when I ran mine last year. It's too hard to accomodate someone else's schedulue. Additionally, someone is always dragging someone else down to their level. Rarely the reverse.

That was my goal as well. Very achievable for a first marathon.

remember to cycle it. every 3-4 weeks, go down on your long run to give you body a break.

I ran Nashville last year, it's got some LONG DAMN HILLS. It was fun, but I'd definitely do a more flat course first if I could have done it over again.

yeah i hate running with other people. Either they run to fast which causes me to fatigue earlier then I want or they run to slow and I get frustrated.
