He failed to cite some maps? At least he appears to be able to write a book without a ghost writer.

^ And somewhere along the way revealed that he is something akin to an anti-Semite.

You do realize that Reuters has been under fire recently for posting editted/staged pictures, correct? That aside, I'll believe you .
1/16/2007 4:15:42 PM
can you provide some sort of proof of the anti-semetic comments? are they anti-jew or anti-israel (i'm sure you know the difference).you do realize that not all palestinians, in the middle east and abroad, are in the same vein as that pic you've posted to apparently represent opposition to israel, right?[Edited on January 16, 2007 at 4:22 PM. has anyone in this thread actually read a word of the book past the cover? because it all seems a little silly to argue about something you haven't even read.[Edited on January 16, 2007 at 4:20 PM. Reason : .]

To: booger: Perhaps you should have read my post more closely. In addition, all the evidence one needs is in Carter's recent writing and remarks.
1/17/2007 3:47:45 AM
1/17/2007 10:38:26 AM
^^so you haven't read a word of the book right?i've at least read some of each of the books (or at least translations of the books) that you've mentioned. i wouldn't claim to make any horribly informed statements about many except perhaps the bible (and i'm certainly not a scholar on that by any stretch of the imagination). not to mention, there have been hundreds (and in some cases thousands) of years of scholarship on these books from which to gain insight. you guys are basing your opinions on this book on a few news articles about people reacting to the book (which they may or may not have read) and your previous opinions about jimmy carter and his scholarship.

1/17/2007 12:51:08 PM
omg carter supports the two state solution, undermining the wishes of ferverent zionists. you know who else wants to undermine zionists? anti-semites! so now cater is akin to anti-semites!i can play this game. its fun!democrats suported john kerry in the last election. you know who else supported him? moveon.org. you know who supported moveon.org? http://www.cpusa.org/article/articleview/515/communists! john kerry is akin to communists!these same communists claim to support democracy. you know who supports democracy? the us government! the us government is akin to communists! instead of pussing around, please just tell us why what carter believes about the israel/palestine situation is so bad.

The Economist had a negative review of this bookbut it presented it without the stupid bias
1/17/2007 1:12:15 PM
^^ I'm not "pussing around," fucker. Check the title of this thread--that's the story.
1/17/2007 2:13:43 PM
^So a bunch of people disagree with Carter's criticisms of Israel and American Jewish political power and they resigned to show they disagree? That's the story? That's what you want to talk about? What is there to say?
1/17/2007 3:20:03 PM
THAT LIBERALS ARE IDIOTS, DUH
1/17/2007 3:58:03 PM
^^ These people were ardent supporters. Why did they suddenly stop supporting Carter--fourteen of them? Isn't that worth examining? Do I have to spell it out for you?^ Yes, now you have it.
1/17/2007 5:07:38 PM
^Why? Well, according to your blurb...
