1/11/2007 7:27:21 PM
no
1/11/2007 7:33:06 PM
i hear second empire
1/11/2007 7:38:14 PM
Farrington House (not in raleigh, but close)
1/11/2007 7:45:19 PM
Second Empire
1/11/2007 7:48:43 PM
I've been to Second Empire twice for special occasions, and I believe the Farrington (sp?) House is more pricey, although I've never been there myself.Of course, order enough wine at Second Empire, and it'll take the crown.
1/11/2007 7:50:23 PM
Sullivan's, 42nd street?
1/11/2007 8:18:25 PM
I would say Ruth Chris Steakhouse but thats in Cary.
1/11/2007 8:18:52 PM
Farrington House is hands down the most expensive resturant in the area. Followed by Four Square and Fairview, but they arn't in raleighSecond Empire is the nicest resturant in Raleigh followed by Sulivan's, it isn't as expensive. Not to mention its corporate and the food isn't that fabulious. Nelsons just opened in cameron village then their claim to fame is being over the top ridicuios and espense. Jk's in North Hills, you wouldn't think is that expensive, but it is. And I have heard nothen but the best about their food. An in cary is to die for if you like asian cuisine. i havnt been but looking at the menu second empire is not expensive at all. its not cheap but i wouldnt put it in a list of most expensive restaurants.sullivansangus bardcarvers creekare the most expensive ones mentioned so far. i hear there is a mortons coming to fayetteville street so i guess that will take over the top spot since raleigh doesnt have many very expensive places.what about capital city club and cardinal club?
1/11/2007 10:24:55 PM
What's that restaurant where you can sit in the kitchen with the chef? I'd imagine that would be quite pricey.
1/11/2007 10:26:52 PM
In addition to the above you also haveThe State ClubAn ( I second this)Herons at The UmsteadSecond Empire is good, the few times I have been have been impressive.I guess it depends on if you want a "steak house" or seafood or just high dollar entree'sI have been wanting to try Margeaux's for a while as I saw their site and looked it over? is it recommended?
1/11/2007 10:47:41 PM
wow, you people think sullivans is expensive?damn.i go there at least 3 times a week
1/11/2007 11:01:16 PM
Sulivan's can be expensive
1/11/2007 11:08:04 PM
sullivans isnt that bad usually, but if you raid the wine list is when it goes through the roof.app, meal, and side will run like $50/head, no drinks.of course, on avg. add ~$20 for 2 or 3 drinks, more if drinking wine
1/11/2007 11:19:10 PM
Nana's chophouse? or any other steak houses? I haven't been there specifically so I don't know, but i figured I'd throw it out there. If it was my bet, I'd pick a place that is a la carte instead of full meal... it seems like that would make for a more expensive restaurant
1/11/2007 11:24:40 PM
Carvers isn't expensive....and if you think it is, please don't come in
1/12/2007 12:53:41 AM
god i love women that know where to drive and shit
1/12/2007 12:56:11 AM
If you can find a steak joint that sells kobe beef (also called wagyu sometimes) that'll be the most expensive restaurant.
1/12/2007 9:56:59 AM
^Where can you get Kobe beef? The only place I've ever seen it is on the $7 burgers at Hi-5.
1/12/2007 10:33:40 AM
The most expensive dinner I had in raleigh was at the Cardinal Club. dinner for two was close to $400 - granted, we had a private room with a sweet view of downtown, 5 courses, and wine.
1/12/2007 10:36:37 AM
^^ yah i have looked for it. I think An in cary has one dish with it but otherwise I haven't seen it. And on a side note thos burgers at hi-5 are not complete Kobi beef.
1/12/2007 10:57:45 AM
restaurant.com had gift certificates to a lot of these places the other day for $3 for $25 gift certificates with the code Cheers
1/12/2007 11:05:35 AM
i paid $100 bucks for a french dude to spit in my mouth.its all the rage in europe.
1/12/2007 11:13:54 AM
Farrington House
1/12/2007 11:15:51 AM
Fearrington house is not only not in raleigh, but it's much closer to chapel hill than raleigh.

Fins7713 Lead Mine Rd # 39Raleigh, NC 27615(919) 847-4119[Edited on January 12, 2007 at 11:36 AM. Reason : Comparable in price to Ruth's Chris and Second Empire.]
1/12/2007 11:35:16 AM
The real question is your definition for most expensive. Is it for a one person meal, like drinks, appetizer, entree, and desert? A tasting menu? If you add in, for example, different wine possibilities it will be pretty tough to tell. If you're strictly talking Raleigh city limits, all the top ones are very similar.
1/12/2007 11:49:07 AM
Fins is expensive and gooddepends on what you're basing this on.average check? most expensive entre?if you include all course and a bottle of wine (say mid price).....I don't think Sullivans is that expensive.Angus Barn can be. so can Second EmpireBloomsbury Bistro was excellent the one time i went.Hell we had a $100+ check at Michael Deans the other night (and you can eat there much cheaper)
1/12/2007 12:21:18 PM
my fault on carvers creek. i haven't been there in forever and forgot that it isnt that expensive. second empire isn't either though...guess i hit the ball on the head with cardinal club
1/12/2007 3:37:04 PM
1/12/2007 4:16:03 PM
but we baaalllinn
1/12/2007 4:24:42 PM
haha Well I got a new job that pays a helluva lot more...But I'm still not going to spend my rent money on food. I bet it was good food though.
1/12/2007 4:26:30 PM
Any place can be expensive if you add in Alcohol.
1/12/2007 4:30:06 PM
^^ hahahyou should see my totals for bar/dinner tabs since ive moved up hereits frightening brandi, it really is
1/12/2007 4:31:32 PM
You baller you.
1/12/2007 5:02:03 PM
Where is An in Cary? I really must go try this place.
1/12/2007 5:06:35 PM
Enoteca Vin is pretty damn pricey too. (and very good)And as others have said, this is a pretty subjective. I can run up a $300 at fucking applebees if i drink enough.
1/12/2007 5:07:45 PM
^Yeah, I'm not sure Alcohol should be included in what we're talking about. I can run up a retarded bill at any restaurant if I order enough to drink.
1/12/2007 5:09:22 PM
theres a thai and sushi place off wake forest that has an 8oz kobe steak, its 40 bucks
1/12/2007 5:10:01 PM
And again..this needs some parameters. Are we talking ab out which place has the:most expensive entree? highest average entree price?highest average 3 course price?
1/12/2007 5:11:01 PM
1/12/2007 5:29:26 PM
be prepared, the service at an can be really slow
1/12/2007 5:44:22 PM
Most upscale and traditional european restaurants are. Dinner is usually a minimum 2-3 hour event.
