he would march us to the Superbowlthen get blown out
1/8/2007 10:25:40 PM
bummer
1/8/2007 10:30:44 PM
Didn't Delhomme do that already? Well ok at least it wasn't a blow out.
1/8/2007 10:31:28 PM
i dont want smith
1/8/2007 10:49:15 PM
I want Jamarcus "Can throw 90 yards off my backfoot" Russell
1/8/2007 11:03:56 PM
hes goin to the lions ... i hope
1/8/2007 11:04:28 PM
smith is too short. he has to rollout before he can trhow because he cant see over the line. that will never work in the nfl.
1/8/2007 11:08:01 PM
if i ever wanted matt millen to fuck up, its now. Well worst case scenario Brohm will be there
1/8/2007 11:08:26 PM
6'0 is too short to play quarterback in the nfl. signed, Drew Brees
1/8/2007 11:09:15 PM
I want Jamarcus Russell as well. he'll be bigger than half the people trying to tackle him.
1/8/2007 11:10:05 PM
Panthers need to get Brohm before someone else does. These bowl games have proved me right that Brohm>>>Quinn>>>Smith.
1/8/2007 11:32:34 PM
Russell and Quinn will be gone by the time the Panthers pick.....it'll be Brohm or a receiver, Jarrett maybe?
1/8/2007 11:45:11 PM
if we can get jarrett, then let keyshawn's mancrush on dan henning go retire/elsewhere
1/9/2007 12:12:17 AM
l-urine-itis
1/9/2007 1:22:39 AM
Amen, Jamarcus Russell can make up for much of our o line shortcomings by virtue of his size. hard to pull a guy down when he's as big as a defensive end
1/9/2007 2:50:21 AM
1/9/2007 2:55:48 AM
We have no chance at Russel unless we trade up to the top 5 at least, probably top 3.And that would be too expensive for me to want to do.If Brohm is available, take him with the first, if not, take some offensive line and perhaps trade up to the early second to take Leak, I can see him developing into a Brees type player.[Edited on January 9, 2007 at 3:18 AM. 1/9/2007 3:18:25 AM
give me jamarcus, and the panthers will be worth a damn.sadly, we will not draft a QB... Our management BLOWS
1/9/2007 4:14:25 AM
The will draft a MLB or safety maybe first round.
1/9/2007 5:48:18 AM
1/9/2007 8:24:52 AM
^yeah, people are idiots
1/9/2007 9:43:44 AM
jake has done so much to help put carolina back on the mapso even though he had a bad year, he should get one more chance to make it work
1/9/2007 9:53:01 AM
Oakland already said they were very interested in Russell. So no one is getting them except Oakland, haha. And Fox already said he doesn't like taking QB's high in the draft. So we'll be taking defense. Either DE to replace Rucker or, my personal guess, a LB.I want a QB or OL, but QB won't happen. So let's hope for OL or LB.[Edited on January 9, 2007 at 10:57 AM. Reason : .]
1/9/2007 10:56:10 AM
my opinion is to go hard after Brohm, and let him sit behind Jake for 1-2yrs and take it from there. trade up with our 1st and 3rd round picks, along with someone like D-Lewis. what pick will we have in the draft, like 18th?
1/9/2007 11:22:20 AM
Na, I believe it's higher, like 14-15.
1/9/2007 11:24:49 AM
panthers need to get a lights out LB either in fa or in the draft......and 14 is a good pick to get a LB in the 1st roundthey also really need a speedy guy to concentrate on punt and kick returns.
1/9/2007 11:36:41 AM
1/9/2007 11:38:37 AM
My predictions for the Panthers' first pick is either: LaRon Landry / Reggie Nelson , Bad ass LB from Ole Miss, Brian Brohm or Tedd Ginn. Mark it down.I think Safety, Linebacker, Tight End, Receiver, OG are the Panthers biggest needs. in that order. so hopefully Hurney will see this post and agree 100%
1/9/2007 1:51:54 PM
I'd love to see them get Ginn....it's a possibility too.
1/9/2007 3:20:01 PM
I believe Samardzija or Meachem, if he declares, would be better choices at receiver. Or maybe we should pick up Steve Smith from USC just to confuse the opposing defenses.
1/9/2007 3:29:20 PM
Ginn will be a lights out return man though, and god knows we need one.
1/9/2007 3:33:54 PM
panthers will take defensive player in the first roundfirst round QBs are too risky. has anyone seen stats on first round qb success?
1/9/2007 3:39:06 PM
Fox has always said he is against taking QB's high in the draft,so look for :OLTELBor maybe a return man/receiver (ginn)
1/9/2007 3:40:47 PM
1/9/2007 3:42:38 PM
There is an unusual amount of good to great receivers coming out this year. I don't know if Panthers need to jump in too early to get another WR (even if KJ retires). I would like to see us get a QB, but Fox (as already stated) does not like idea of going early for QB and Russel is pretty much a wrap to Raiders anyway. I do think Brohm or Leak would be a good fit to our Team. I think we should go for MLB or OL early. Then QB/TE... III
1/9/2007 3:44:41 PM
i wonder if Samardzija could be converted to TE easily.....When I first saw him play, I thought he was their TE. That might be a good pick up in the 2nd or 3rd.
1/9/2007 3:49:04 PM
^ Was thinking about that also....could be used at either position...hell of a match up... III
1/9/2007 4:01:15 PM
[no delhommo]
1/9/2007 4:04:17 PM
I would like to see Leak added to the Panther`s squad, even if he isn't intended to be a starter, good to bring one of NC's best football prospects brought home
1/9/2007 5:29:40 PM
Jesus god i wouldnt want Russell. Best case scenario he's the next Daunte Culpepper... I also wouldnt want Troy Smith. He's not going to be good at all.Im not a big delhomme supporter, but i know we could be a lot worse off. We're a Super Bowl contender, lets draft someone who can help us win not some bust QB.
1/9/2007 5:36:17 PM
1/9/2007 5:37:53 PM
^^ what makes you say that? Daunte Culpepper was from a school that doesn't even put out routine talent.
1/9/2007 6:01:13 PM
I want Troy Smith.
1/9/2007 8:00:50 PM
i bet u do
1/9/2007 8:20:27 PM
1/9/2007 9:44:54 PM
1/9/2007 9:46:16 PM
Hasn't Samardzija signed a baseball contract already with the Cubs? Why would you draft a guy you don't know is even going to play football? Those type guys usually don't work out, Drew Henson, Chad Hutchinson, Chris Weinke.
