anyone know what a rebuild for a 400 smallblock would run these days??its in my 75 vette so i want it done right with preferable time dated parts or something that will look good when i go to resell but not take away from the value of this carwould love to use the same block and all so the numbers match instead of gettin a crate one from Jegslemme know what u think

rebuild kit with pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, oil pump from summit ~$320head job, boring and cleaning block, milling heads and deck, and align hone ~$350it can be done decently for less than a grand if you throw in a roller cam and roller rockers, intake and headers

^^normally i'd be with you, but consider the car. it will retain and gain more value as a numbers matching car. c3's are finally starting to steadily gain value.^at the least, this guy is going to need short block assembly also, if not the whole thing judging fomr his previous thread. or at least if he has any sense he's going to pay someone to do it or help him since he's never done it. he might could handle the pulling/installation on his own or with a friend if he's mechanically inclined at all.
