I came into possession of this beautiful 1972 Wurlitzer this week, so I thought I'd see if anyone else was into this sort of thing. I'm still looking for a Hammond, but this will do just fine in the meantime. It's not terribly heavy as organs go, but I doubt I'll gig with it any time soon. Plus it's in such good shape I'd feel a little guilty throwing it in the back of a van.I've been using my old Korg i3 as an organ for a while. My user programs are filled with Hammond and Moog presets. It's not a great keyboard by today's standards, but for simple synths and organs it does the job just fine.Anyway, that's my setup. If I can ever learn to play this pedalboard I'll be alright.

cool. My pop-pop had a Wurlitzer when I was a child. I learned a few songs, like Good King Wenceslas, but that's the extent of my knowledge.

your mother plays the skin flutebut seriously i have played the organ, not in a long time, but i love the sounds of most key instruments...my grandparents had some small ass organ...had probably 6 octaves of regular treble clef C-C octaves...and then maybe half a dozen each of the "organ" keys...it was cool...i need to bust that shit out of the attic and lay down some ill beats[Edited on January 8, 2007 at 1:04 PM. I can play it, somewhat. Hey, do you play mandolin? Maybe we can start up a small band if we could get some more players and a lead singer. I've already written some pretty good lyrics, just need the beats to lay them down to.
