so whats the best way to get rid of the yellow coating that grows on headlights over the years? I want mine to sparkle like new

Wet sanding with 1500/2000 sandpaper followed by polishing with plastic polish.(Eeagle One works great)

if the car is old enough to have yellowed headlights, then replacement headlights should be fairly cheap. just go to Certifit and get new ones. mine were ~$20 each.

a small orbital sander/waxer/polisher works great with the headlight polishing kits.after you get them all nice again, you have to use wax or some sort of plastic protectant on the lenses every month or so b/c they'll oxidize again in no time.formula 303 works well.[Edited on January 8, 2007 at 11:28 PM.
