i never really understood how it's more fficient to have to plug a car in when the energy is still being produced by power plants burning fossil fuels. i mean, i assume maybe it's more efficient than just straight using gasoline..but I dunno.

^ Yes, it is probably more efficient. It's still not the best long term solution though. Our grid is already strained...the funny part is California is the state with all the environmental nuts who want to use cars like this, and their power grid is already a nightmare. Can you imagine if this really took off? It would be hilarious if California was finally forced to build new plants because of more "environmentally friendly" cars.
