I'm trying to purchase something online through paypal but everytime I try to use my credit card, paypal says the card is registered to another account. I'm sure I put the card on my first paypal account but can't remember the e-mail or password I used for it. I did their whole, "can't remember my e-mail" process but it won't give it to me saying the card number doesn't match my name or phone number. Is my identity being stolen or is there a way around this without having to use a different card?

I would try and get in direct contact with Paypal about it and if you can't figure it out I'd put a watch on your credit... I think if you do it with one of the monitoring groups (experian, transunion, etc) they're supposed to notify the others. Check out Suze Orman's Young, fabulous & broke book or her website for their info and what they'll do for you.

if your credit card provider offers 'one-time use' numbers, use that.
