back when that whole naked teacher shit went down, someone on TWW used a program to find the history of the photos -- he could see what kind of camera the photos were created on and what editing programs they had been run through. Now the difference between this program and Photoshop is you can clear info in Photoshop but this program could tell you what info was cleared.

Does anyone have any idea what program this was or know of one that would do the same thing.

There isn't magic file history information like what you are describing. However, irfanview will show you the raw file data that you saw.

I'll give that a try, thanks. But I know there's something because the dude did it with the teacher pics. It's like a digital figerprint.

Theres a program for Linux that shows you what kind of camera was used, date the pic was taken etc but I can't recall it off the top of my head.. I'll see if I can find it.

that's exif data and windows puts it in the status bar when you select a picture
