HP Pavilion ZT3300 laptop, won't charge properly, been told its about a 200$ repair to get it fixed, other then that a few small scratches and dings. Great laptop otherwise, I'm just switching to a desktop and don't care to spend money to get it fixed. I'll get exact specs up later - laptop is at my parents house, though I don't think any changes have been made since I bought it from the store, other then a new hard drive (30gb)Sony s710a phone, works fine every couple of days then just stops, not really sure whats wrong with it, doesn't have any water damage or anything. Just needs a cingular sim card. I'll get pictures up later if anyone is interested.[Edited on January 1, 2007 at 2:54 PM. Reason : aa]

when you say won't charge properly, do you mean that the battery will not hold a charge, or that the power supply cable is loose, and the unit does not get power regularly?

Battery holds a charge (my dad has the same laptop, I tested the battery in his). I was told by three stores that its the pin on the computer having come loose, or something like that.

I bought the laptop . . . . . when I took it apart to fix the power jack I found the optical drive's case was all dented. Doesn't work at all. Still waiting to hear back from dzags18 about it.

^^ He also said that it not charging properly was the only problem, and that otherwise it was a great laptop. I've fixed said problem and its definitely not a "great laptop".
