...will come Sunday night as the Bears destroy the Packers.

Poor Wisconsin folk... xmas is over, Packers suck, Favre is (has been) done, Reggie White is dead, not enough ice on lake to fish, not enough snow to snowmobile, deer season is long gone, and your shitty Ford truck is probably broken again. Oh well, drive your wife's Tempo to the IGA and buy some OM.

None of those records will mean shit when Peyton is done....

And fuck Favre for ruining Green Bay's chances at rebuilding, he needs to move on. They used a high draft pick on a QB and he is going to have to sit for a 3rd year.

^^ yes, yes he does

the Packers were the first team out of the playoffs in the NFC at 8-8 - they won four in a row to close the season if memory serves correctly

hell why not take one more year, especially in the NFC, and especially with Rodgers behind him - tell me the Packers would be better off with Rodgers than with Favre next year. I think not.

favre is a better option than 80% of nfl qbs and is not the packers problem

10 wins and a wild card next year

this really is an interesting situation

on one hand, favre is certainly capable of playing in the nfl still and the packers cant under any circumstance turn him down

on the other hand, they are a stretch to even steal a wild card spot, let alone win a playoff game and the future of the franchise remains in this purgatory state until they come up with someone to takeover after favre

You think a-rod is going to do any better?

Who is the viable replacement?

Pull a miami and get culpepper?

Drop a 1st round pick on schaub?

Propose some ideas, i would love to hear them.

you are missing the point

they have no legitimate chance of doing anything in 2007 so its not about whether rodgers will be better than favre next year, because he certainly wont

its about building for the future, something they are not able to do without a qb of the future

but whatever, it just means the bears will sit at the top for longer

Do you know just how many teams were worse?

By your own logic half the league should be playing musical QB chairs. Perhaps you can find everyone a brees replacement.

Youre an idiot who happens to just not like the team. Its obvious in all your posts you seem to long for wisconsin sports teams to lose.

The packers went from a 4 win season to an 8 win season.

The badgers are actually good in college basketball.

The badgers won the football bowl game you said they would get laughed out of.

Perhaps you should target the bucks and the brewers?

nobody cares about the bucks/brewers

i live practically on UW campus and i love it...i have 2nd row tickets for the game today

if the packers want to liken themselves to teams like the cleveland browns, then fine, it doesnt bother me. They have a 1st round qb just rotting on their bench...what exactly was the point of that draft pick? They are not a serious contender anymore, a lot of people i know were not happy at the news of favre returning yesterday

again, you miss the point

just know, at least half the packers fans i talk to (and believe me, i have no choice but to talk to a ton) are not pleased at all at the return of favre

Just making sure you have no viable solutions and are just bitching for bitching s sake.

Explain how starting a new QB (site whom) this year will net us a better team in less time than starting next year ...etc..

Anything rational or logical would be interesting to hear.

I started you off with the schaub trade idea. Falcons backups can be fruitful .

I'm at a big of a loss with all this rebuilding talk. We pretty much finished all that last year.

If I remember correctly, you're a Giants fan, so while you can act like the Packers are an absolute shit team, at the end of the the season we nearly took you boy's playoff spot and would have if not for a bullshit penalty in the Rams game that completely fucked us over.

Don't hate the Packers because our quarterback at 40 will still be better than Eli will ever be.

It'd be on thing if we still had Nall, but Rodgers isn't ready to be the starter. We're nowhere near bad enough to just go "who cares who's behind center?"

Eli has been in the playoffs for a couple years...where has favre been?

Thats right, dicking over a franchise/fanbase while he contemplates his life

They're got a pretty damn good chance of making the playoffs next year. Get a good WR and a decent running back (which shouldn't be that hard), and they could easily be 10-6 next year.

Aaron Rodgers sucks. It was a bad draft pick. He'll never be the man at Green Bay.

One of my best friends is a scout for the Packers and has been in the organization for ten years now. Favre is their best option for next year. The organization is happy with his return. He's still a top QB. They'll either draft a big-time QB next year or pick up a big name in free agency.

By my count, Eli starting dicking over the Giants about 3 years ago. That's when you guys traded all those picks that became Pro Bowlers for a mediocre QB, right?

But we'll see how great he'll do without a great running back behind him. He certainly was a world beater with Tiki back there, after all
