From IMDB trivia about Mission: Impossible 2:

Quote :
"John Woo's final cut of the film clocked in at 3 1/2 hours. The studio balked at this length and told him that the final length could not exceed 120 min. This could explain why there are so many plot holes and continuity errors in the theatrical cut."

Quote :
"The movie initially was rated "R", but was re rated "PG-13" after many action scenes were cut and the violence was trimmed down considerably."

Why the hell isn't there a director's cut of this film? It sounds like it would be awesome to see...

1 hour of the extra footage would've been in slow-motion.

I'd totally be down for a directors cut of MI2. I know most people hate this movie, but I thought it was alright, mostly due to the John Woo direction.

Maybe some of the cut footage showed Ethan changing his bike tires from street tires to offroad ones.

That always made me laugh when the tires changed like that. It was so obvious.

in this instance

i'm definitely right

when the villian looks like the dude from Third Eye Blind, that's enough right there for it to be a bad movie

definitly the worst of the three MI's.

yes, this is mostly do to John Woo. Broken Arrow and Face/Off are two good movies but after that is a severe downslide with Paycheck, MI2, and even windtalkers.
