wherever we're supposd to do "orientation" and get our french swiss ID's. i cant remember this shit. I'd assume its at app ski mountain since thats the first 3 places we ski at.

it is at french swiss rentals, down the road from the hotel[Edited on December 30, 2006 at 8:37 PM. Reason : rentals then hotel then app]

Beech from yesterday.App's coverage is still fine however and should be able to easily last through the week we are there. As far as Beech/Sugar they will most likely do the same thing as last year which is give you the option in the morning of staying at App if you choose.[Edited on December 31, 2006 at 10:50 PM. Reason : beech should be able to blow tues/wed night but will probably close until friday]

does anybody who has taken it know like what days the lessons are and how u do the testing and all that stuff

SHIT MAN.

^^ lessons are the first hour of the first three days (monday/tuesday/wednesday)that is the only time you are required to be there, test is given on wednesday (most instructors may not even test you, if you can turn you automatically pass). the test itself is a joke, they don't want to give it anyways.after wednesday you can ski the last two days or go home if you want. last year when there were really bad conditions most people went home after wednesday but like I said you will have the option of skiing 5 days at App if you want to.

Is this class strictly a ski class or can you use your borad too?
1/2/2007 10:10:20 AM
the test is increadibly easy. i think they really want to just make sure that you show up every day for your lesson and make some sort of progress. they are not going to fail you if you just completely lack any natural skiing abilityand yes - if you prefer to snowboard you can do that instead. though, i do feel like snowboarding cost a little extra. but not 100% sure, I took the class 2 years ago

^^^^^ that pic looks as if the snow was all slushy... that sucksgood stuff

I can't believe they even offer a ski class here at state. I really can't believe that they ski in NC, has to be one of the shittiest states, that actually has slopes, to ski in.

How long after the trip does it normally take to recieve grades?
1/12/2007 6:39:09 PM
couple of weeks
1/14/2007 10:31:31 PM
yeah - the grades dont come in until the end of january which kind of sucks if the ski class is the last class you take at ncsu, because the grades dont come in soon enough for your diploma to be included in the winter batch. it doesnt matter too much because anyone can call up and they will say that you have graduated, but you dont receive the diploma until the spring ones go out. so yeah, not that bad, because you have still technically graduated....just irritating when you were told before that you would receive your diploma when all of the winter ones go out
