I am not poor so I'll just get it at my place. PS why wont ESPN ever talk about UFC? It is 10 times more entertaining then any of the boxing events of the past 3 years.

my money's on the Iceman... that dude is a monster..don't get me wrong, tito can fight, really well in fact, but i just can't see him beating liddell... i mean, couture was one of my favorite fighters, but i can't argue w liddell dropping him, what, twice?
12/31/2006 12:16:27 AM
liddell won it...
12/31/2006 12:32:54 AM
i had money on ortiz, liddell looked excellent...by far the best fighter
12/31/2006 1:32:44 AM
yea completely missed it.. so sad. at least i would have predicted correctly been outta the UFC loop for a while now, probably evident by the couture ref
12/31/2006 3:17:12 AM
Im so pissed off right now Thats why I can't wait til Cro-cop and Rampage come to the ufc in 07 to show the world what "real fighters" are all about. Chuck beating up on the same people dosn't amuse me one bit. That's why he skipped around the question about rampage when he was asked tonight.rampage was sittin in the crowd looking like "yea mutha fucka say somethin, dat ass is mine, you just beat up my friend now imma kick your ass for a 3 rd time". Whats sad about it is, most of the ufc audience dosn't even know who he is QRJ. But those of us who are in the mma world know exactly who he is knock em' dead rampage!![Edited on December 31, 2006 at 3:20 AM. Reason : .]

man shut upif youve been watching MMA in the pas couple if years ud know rampage isnt whagt he used to behe's not gonna "SHOW WHAT REAL MMA FIGHTERS ARE LKE" hes a mercenary, he doesnt have the drive to be the best anymore, hes just lookig for the paycheckas far as crocop, this next fight aint proving anythingeddie sanchez is not a contender, and is a young fighter they are feeding to him to impress about 90% of the american fans that dont even recognize the name "Crocop" ...its a fluff match and i feel ad for eddie sanchez getting thrown to the lions for this purpose cuz dana will probably kick him out for losing to mirkoNOW for the ppvexcellent, i called everyfight CORRECt except for marrero v.s. gonzaga..i had no idea gonzaga's bjj was that crispi knew keith jardine would win, just had NO idea hed KO forrest...jardine gets no respect, got no respect from Rogan the entire fight right up until he bobbled forrests headI really believe that was Tito's best like he said, I think Tito's striking has become near top notch, he was landing alot of strikes Chuck just has a true granite chinChuck did an amazing job not only capitalizing on titos haalf hearted leg kicks and takedown attempts, but chuck once again does a masterful job setting up angles with his footwork...he stalked the hell out of tito and struck precisely, and notice how Chuck didnt punch himself out in ay prticular exchanges to avoid fatigue...one thing about Chuck is that he changes his gameplan an awful lot to keep his gameplan the same...Ill call it, Chuck wont lose to Quinton Jackson again...and no its not me being a fanboy, i seriously mean that chuck has tweaked his gameplan to perfectionthink about liddell couture 1, couture beat him worse than rampage did and liddell definitely fixed that for the next 2 fights against himwhatelse....uh...Jason macdonald impressed me, but was very sloppy...loved seeing leben take a nap hes way too sloppy and hes gonna be out the door if he doesnt refine his techniquebisping did good for a first fight after being delayed for so long with all the passport shitAndrei arlovski is BACK...what a smart fighter...when the ref says "go" u best be ready or THAT happensThiago alves is one of my new favorite up and commers, hes got all the skills, reminds me of a hungrier vitor belfort! This was an excellent PPV, Im gonna need the UFC to quit sellin rashad evans shortFuckign Sean Salmon for his next fight?? bullshit, give him a contender its his fuckin time im sick of them acting like hes a gatekeeper while poster boys like forrest get to mix it up with the bigger names its retarded, hes a great fighter not some has been stepping stone like they are treatin him (sorry im a huge fan of rashad)and I know you probably read none of this, if u didnt this thread isnt for YO ASS
12/31/2006 3:46:59 AM
You fuckin idiotYoure a ufc tooL. Everyone knows that Chuck hasnt faught anyoneRampage on the other hand has faught the BEST in the world. Coture old washed up assboba-loue?!?!!? gtfo right now.Other than tito, who he obviously has the advantage over, Chuck has faught NOONE. All his fights rematches with the same bumbs he has previously beaten. His last 3 fights have been rematches!!Who has he faught with credibility? He has the same style. Tito was stupid (yet again) for trying to box with him. We're gonna see what happens when page gets there. He has beaten his ass TWICE and the world dosn't know whohe is?!?!? Because Dana White does a great job at hiding it so that his poster boy Chuck can lookunbeatable!![Edited on December 31, 2006 at 3:59 AM. Reason : .]
12/31/2006 3:54:44 AM
All I want you to do is tell me how is chuck the best LHW in the WORLD?!!?Facts; He hasn't even fought any of the top fivers in the past 2 yearsWhen he did, he lost. His last fights were rematches, Couture/ Babalue / TitoOn top of that, you say he will beat Rampage. When he got dominated by Page twice. All you say is that Page isnt the same?!?! You got to give me something better than that man. I want to have a real discussion now. You need to put your ufc favortism to the side for once!Page, on the other hand, just knocked off "linland" ranked # in his div. But still dosn't get credit. Totally demolished Chuck twice, hands down chuck ran like a school girl. Went on to right wanderlei, rua etc, those of which he lost. But they are the best fighters the sport has to offer.Chuck hasn't faught any strikers (good top of the line) he has only faught grapplers that were washed up or not even ranked opponents. Yet you join the bandwagon. I respect him he'w awesome. But he's definitely not #1. I'd say in the #4 or 5 realm.[Edited on December 31, 2006 at 4:22 AM. Reason : .]

i dont have a favoritism to UFCim an MMA fani cant impart any fact to you, the fight is on the horizon so welll sayas far as chuck being a top 5er? i didnt say it i dont assign rankings to fighters because one i havenet seen everyone in the world and 2 im not gonna say a fighter is higher ranked if they avent foughtrampage beat chuck, so rampage is the better fighter, i think it will be different this timerandy couture was gettin up there, but he certainly isnt washed up he just took a great competitor to a draw in a grappling competitionu are sitting there sayin ii said chuck ws #1, didnt come from me. and being that chuck has only lost to elite fighters, and avenged 2 of those losses to Horn and Couture, makes chuck an elite fighter, rampage won their fight clearly but certainly didnt dominate, randy "washed up" couture handled chuck better than rampage did..not that that matters to me just threw that out thereyou make it soun as if its an automatic win for QJ because hes from Pride and HE BEAT HIM ONCE BEFOREand you call me a UFC fanboy? i go fighter by fighter...i tell u wha, there are alot of fights that i want to see...and with the trouble PRIDE is having we might actual get to see them IN THE OCTAGONAND FUCK DANA WHITE, i hate his ass so please dont discuss him...he offered up excuse for chucks loss to rampage like no tomorrow, chuck offered none because he knows bettertell me when this ghost fight between rampage and chuck was, i mean professional MMA record states 3 losses for chuck u talkin some Rickson Gracie shit now manand im curious, what rankings are you referring to btw, i mean i have an idea but just for the record what rankings are you using...since they seem to mean so much to you take good look at those rankings...and think about why they are the way they are.."Scoreboard"and id nver even dare bring up the issue of ranking, but thank you for that facet....u shouldnt be so selective in your perception of them...u cant pick and choose what you like out of them and pretend the rest dont exist[Edited on December 31, 2006 at 4:36 AM. i remember them fighting in the octagon once and once in a ring?!?! maybe im wrong there but I swear i seen it. Hell, anyways he did dominate that fight.
12/31/2006 4:45:35 AM
hm ill have to try to find itive actualy heard that mentioned before tho, it most likely wasnt a professional bout under us rules u cant include those in your recordu wanna know what sucks?? how no one reacts at all to Wanderlei, Quinton, and Mirkothey dont know who the hell they are, and yea thats the fault of idiot fans, but it also belies a serious problem with the American marketing division of PRIDEtheres no way fans should not know who these guys are, its embarassing to be excited about this and people are lookin at you funny[Edited on December 31, 2006 at 4:51 AM. 12/31/2006 4:47:26 AM
Yeah, i swear i seen it. Chucks corner even thru the towell in. Chuck looked exhausted in that one and i dont think it was a professional bout. But the one in japan was.But i actually agree with you on everything BUT the chuck thing. I absolutely cannot stand his hype at this moment. But what is your stance as far as Chuck only facing grapplers? Do you think he's faced any expert strikers note worthy to earn him this reputation of best lhw fighter?[Edited on December 31, 2006 at 4:52 AM. Reason : .]

that was the one in pride, when the threw in the title as QJ struck him on the groundthats not the one we'd be talkin about, that was a professional bout

They don't have any of the fight tha I know of. But last night, I admit, I was a little antsy and ive calmed down now. The UFC is growing at a crazy rate and in a couple of years it WILL be the best org out (talent/everything). I just heard a radio interveiw from coture and page and they talk pretty good about Dana.Dana is taking some pretty large steps to improve his org. He basically bought out the WFA just to acquire Page, I thought that was pretty shocking. With that said, I think that Wanderlei and Rua will be heading over to ufc shortly to match the competition. At the end of the day, every fighter wants to be on the American scene so , the ufc has everything going for it.The ufc org is the master of hype and marketing, and that is what kinda had me pissed given their talent level overall being inferior to pride. But with the new emergence of fighters placing pressure on other fighters (wanderlei, fedor etc) to join the ufc, the hype will eventually match the talent in a year or so.

I am really looking forward to seeing Chuck and Rampage back fighting...I've been saying it for a long time when friends say Chuck is the Man!!! I mean hell, he got embarassed by Rampage. Regardless, Chuck looked pretty beast last night, and I really can see him beating anyone at anytime in his division. Mirko will be an awesome addition to the UFC and I love watching him fight. Pride still has their top boys though, with Wanderlai, Fedor, Hua, and a few more. By the way, anyone talking rankings, I say Fedor is the best fighter in the world, and if he decides to go to the UFC then Silvia and Arlovski better put in applications to Pride so they have a chance to hold a belt.

1/1/2007 12:30:02 AM
Who cares? The only thing of any importance last night to the MMA world was the fact that Genki Sudo retired after winning his bout.
1/1/2007 12:43:12 AM
um not true but damn that is a important eventhes fuckin entertaining as hell, what org was this fight in and who did he fight?anyone ever heard of krazy horse bennett? hes like Genki Sudo in terms of in ring theatrics but his black ass got arrested for kidnapping and aggravated assault, so he prolly wont have a fight license anymore lol
1/1/2007 12:52:55 AM
Sudo won by triangle choke over Jackson Page then announced his retirement in the post-fight interview. He was fighting for K-1, which is mostly kick boxing/Muay Thai, but they do have a MMA division. Also of much more importance, not to me, but to the MMA world, was Sakuraba getting his brains beat out in what will be his last bout. Other then Liddell basically showing that no one in the UFC LHW division can touch him, Sudo officially retiring was last nights biggest event. Unless Rampage some how shows he is still a contender, and not the guy that a favorable decision over Matt Lindland, Liddell is the king of the UCF LHW division for a while. Also, Charles "Crazy Horse" Bennett is only like Sudo in the sense that he has some personality. Other then that, he sucks, as where Sudo actually has/had talent.[Edited on January 1, 2007 at 1:07 AM. Reason : stuff]
1/1/2007 1:02:50 AM
^ what point are you tryn to make? I'm not being sarcastic at all. Im just confused at what you're saying.
1/1/2007 1:10:04 AM
My point about the biggest event last night? The point is, out of 3 MMA events, probably the biggest event was the fact that Genki Sudo retired (aside from the unofficial retirement of Sakuraba). Chuck Liddell showing he can beat anyone in the LHW division of the UFC is nothing new. Ortiz he has beat before. The fact that Ortiz was at the top of his game and still lost only proves how much Chuck is ahead of the game. Ortiz couldn't even last all 5 rounds with him, and probably should have lost in the 1st. My point is, to just go over it again, that of the 3 MMA event last night: UFC, Pride, K-1, Sudo retiring was the most unexpected/important event. Other then Saku getting waxed and Chuck marching on as usual, nothing happened worth noting, unless you think Forrest Griffin is a world beater and somehow got upset by Kieth Jardine.
1/1/2007 1:15:03 AM
True indeed. I think Chuck is just a bad match for tito tho. I watched that fight over and over today, and tito was "off his game". He tried the same thing the last time they faught (strike toe to toe) which is a big no no. He is not a "striker" he's a gppr. Tito did not demonstrate one ounce of his massive strength last night at all. During that one take down, he had chucks back and did nothing with it?!?!I couldnt believe it. I don't understandt these fighters sometime. One another note; I think Anderson Silva will be virtually unstoppable [Edited on January 1, 2007 at 1:20 AM. Reason : .]
1/1/2007 1:19:44 AM
haha yea i wasnt tryna say KH was a legendary fighter and about the importance thing, i think ufc 66 was a good payperview, landmarked by the official introductions of mirko and rampageplus it caps off a great year for MMA, ufc made big moves, IFL is catching on, showtime and HBO will be competing to host MMA eventsps what do yal think of fans that complain that long fights are boring, but turn around and claim quick fights suck?hhaah sakuraba has been past hi prime for a while, kinda like ken shamrock poor guy,he should take another crack at Wanderlei before he goesHE'LL WIN I SWEAR [Edited on January 1, 2007 at 1:31 AM. Reason : sa]
1/1/2007 1:26:22 AM
Yeah Tito was off his game, in the sense that he wasn't fight Ken Shamrock. Tito was at the top of his game, but he could not take Chuck down. No matter how good Tito is, if he can't take a striker the caliber of Chuck down, he has no chance. And if he get's the take down and does nothing, he just wants to lose. Just look at Chuck's last loss against Rampage, he was on his back. Tito spent most the time throwing weak kicks and just stepping into Chucks punches. If he wasn't going to take him down, it was just a matter of time before he stepped too far and got floored. As far as Anderson Silva goes, yeah, he ain't losing for a while. Lutter will be a lamb to him because he ain't taking him down. If somehow he manages, Lutter has a chance. Silva will not be challenged again until Franklin finds his nose and a better game plan. The same will probably be said abot CroCop as well, because it's hard to find a HW this side of Fedor that is as good as CroCop right now. As much as Silva is just running the HW division, CroCop will not be looking for a takedown. Instead, he'll be looking to take his head off with a left high kick and CroCop can get that high. CroCop should run that division.
