please, pan a well-thought-out list by automatically dismissing it without any statistics, reasons, or any actual listed complaint about the data...everyone knows that's the only way to convince people![Edited on December 28, 2006 at 9:07 AM. Reason : omg, you edited it... and they meant D1 Bowl Division... if that's not obvious to you then... eh...]

12/28/2006 12:21:47 PM
How do they determine the pro rank of states who have never had a pro team?
12/28/2006 12:21:50 PM
anyone who adheres to this Bowl Division and Playoff Division or whatever is a douche

they arent really "fans"
12/28/2006 1:03:36 PM
Do those fans drive up to Columbus to see their team play at the Horseshoe against tOSU? No because they are such shitty fans, they dont even PLAY that kind of competition
12/28/2006 1:10:15 PM
Yes they do drive to see their team play. Against different teams yes, but that doesn't make them any less of a fan just because its not OSU playing
12/28/2006 1:12:28 PM

But they aren't as numerous.which is why you put them lower on the "Top football states" list.

Texas, Texas, N/A

As much as I hate to say this, I don't see how North Carolina is in front of South Carolina, just because NC has a pro team. Especially one near the NC/SC border called "Carolina" representing both states. Or how Iowa is in front of South Carolina just because some guy back in the ice ages won a Heisman. Call me crazy, but I'm not seeing it.
12/28/2006 2:58:08 PM
I would agree with the placement of North Carolina's football position at 14 by just looking at the states above it.I think Alabama should be higher than 12.Clearly looking at the list, there is more favoritism towards the NFL rather than College or Highschool.Jersey is up there because of the Giants and the Jets. Yea, they are called New York Giants and New York Jets but they play in Jersey. Kind of like saying you are from Charlotte but really being anything West of it, say Gastonia. Also the first collegiate football game was played in Jersey, Rutgers over Princeton. The history is there to put it at 9 but because of Schiano it became trendy to place it that high.
