I always see people on here talking about they have court side seats in these sections when they are a good 10 feet 2 rows and a hockey wall away from the court. Now to clarifypurple=benches(media on other side)blue=spacious 2 rows of vip that can be considered "courtside"red=not courtside student seats. Its a great student setup don't get me wrong but its not "courtside"The 2 rows of "vip" seating should be disbanded (at least on one side)and to beat a dead horse the system should be changed to ga first come first serve so people who care the most will get there 90 minutes early to get the best seats instead of the regular arrive 10 minutes late leave 5 minutes early mute students that got lucky and won a lotto.

if you wanna be a dick about it, you are right. But what it looks like to me that you are saying that if you arent a player on the bench, or one of the guys working along that front row, you aint courtside. As far as any student is concerned, those sections are courtside, you cant get any better. Buttttt maybeeeeee - courtside = side of court??? you could be any where
12/28/2006 3:05:56 AM
agree with first come first serve
12/28/2006 3:18:02 AM
12/28/2006 7:54:58 AM
i'd rather call it courtside than "a few rows back from the side of the court"
12/28/2006 11:51:50 AM
nit picker
12/28/2006 11:53:26 AM
If you can't lean over and touch the guy taking the inbounds, then you aren't courtside (oh Reynolds how I miss thee).
12/28/2006 12:19:51 PM
aristotle is a dumb nigger duke fan and is mad that his school cant have a stadium like cameron.
12/28/2006 12:24:58 PM
It's not courtside if the seats aren't actually next to the court.
12/28/2006 12:49:26 PM
why the fuck does do we even care? we can call it what we want and people know what we mean either way.
12/28/2006 9:48:25 PM
i say sidelines
12/28/2006 9:57:02 PM
I always call them sideline seats
12/28/2006 10:17:57 PM
12/28/2006 10:23:08 PM
oooh is this like a pet peeve?in that case you should know i sat courside in my student seats tonight
12/29/2006 12:35:27 AM
so did i. right in front of a drunken ecu chick that screamed pirates the entire game.
12/29/2006 12:40:35 AM
theres no way to regulate the GA, the RBC center staff wont do itthe lines would be that much longerit wouldnt workwe have talked about it and realllllllllly looked into it but it will never work
12/29/2006 2:32:41 AM
works well for football with 3 times as many people
12/29/2006 3:19:09 AM
and 5 times space for students and entrances to those sections
12/29/2006 9:35:42 AM
those seats are definitely courtside. You sir, are an idiot.
12/29/2006 9:50:30 AM
courside - yeson the court - no
12/29/2006 10:19:26 AM
12/29/2006 12:19:13 PM
103 row c for the uncw game. that means 3 rows from the media people to the court. As for the first come first serve thing, no way. Get boozed up, tailgate, enjoy the traditions get in about 5 minutes before the game and stay through the game. period.
12/29/2006 2:55:02 PM
^you are the exact reason our atmosphere will continue to be meh.everybody knows im right but I know everyone will be in some African river
12/29/2006 7:54:06 PM
i agree with what you're sayin but you're not goin about it the right wayi like getting there early, cheering LOUD, and staying late -including our ALMA MATER and singing to it even if I'm the only one that knows the wordsbut most "fans" are only concerned with the possibility of waiting 10 minutes in traffic, leaving home 15 minutes earlier, etc etc
12/29/2006 8:17:39 PM
^^ what the hell are you talking about? How long have you been going to nc state games? How LONG has your family been coming to games? Think hard before you post back to me on this one. I get in there at tipoff and I am one of the most rowdy fans we have, evident by somehow being on the big screen 2-3 times a game and on television 2-3 times a game, while most are sitting on their hands...i am not. my friends and others traditions are tailgate and cheer loud. what's yours?
1/10/2007 7:34:48 PM
I own the RBCso just shut up everybody
1/10/2007 7:43:41 PM
fuck that vip section
1/10/2007 7:51:49 PM
how exactly does getting early make the atmosphere better?as long as your there once the starting lineups start, i don't really see a negativenot trying to fight for getting there late, i like being there as early as i can, but it doesn't always happeni just want to hear what it helps(i never leave early either, can't believe fuckers would actually leave just to beat sitting in traffic for 5 to 10 minutes)
1/10/2007 8:28:23 PM
The current system rewards people who don't give a shit. I'm not saying everyone who doesnt come early doesn't care but the people who care enough to get there and wait 90 minutes are overall going to be much better than the people who win the lotto and get the best seats any given game and if they didn't really care when they got there they sure will care after waiting for 90 minutes. This is not a new concept. Its done at many places like virginia and duke. I used virginia and duke because virginia uses the same ticketretrun system that we use and Duke has the best students. The ones that campout are even ten times better than the normal ones. you better believe after investing many cold nights in a tent they are going to jump their asses off during the game. All you have to do is stamp the hand as the students enter with the section like football-fraud will be eliminated-assholes (that might not even be fans of state) will not use a 300 ticket to get in and sit downstairs with a "copy" of a ticket or some sort of sneak method (decreases capacity)-we will look good on tv before the game (national attention)-no more empty seats in the sections mentioned in the topic while sometimes 300 level sections are near full.-no more assholes who arrive 10 minutes into the game sitting at the bottom.-the atmosphere closer to the court will be better all in all

once AGAINNNNNNNNNTHE RBC CENTER STAFF WILL NOT GO ALONG WITH THIS no matter how many times it is presentedyou are beating a dead horseand by the way I know this because student government is in charge of student ticketsSG has proposed this each year especially this year to try and let this happen.we have been shot down by not only the RBC staff but also the administration who says that creating a reward system would only take away from academics and the opportunities of students to do well in academics...the people who worry about their grades would be effected because they cant get to every game like some people can.fairness for all is the slogan.now shut up[Edited on January 11, 2007 at 12:10 AM. Reason : j][Edited on January 11, 2007 at 12:10 AM. Reason : b]
1/11/2007 12:07:17 AM
my fault. i was wrong. should never compare us to two schools that don't care about academics anyway. getting to a game 90 minutes early would destroy a gpa.(i didn't say anything about a reward system for going to every game btw. thats what the swpc is for)[Edited on January 11, 2007 at 12:15 AM. Reason : lets stick to academics]
1/11/2007 12:14:22 AM
I was just clearing that part up because it always comes up when any of this is mentioned.had to throw it in there...but the RBC staff will never do it due to the lines that are already long enough and the lack of staff that has a clue whats going on.thanks and have a great evening.
1/11/2007 12:17:03 AM
If you're worried that much about your grades that you can't take a couple hours out of your busy schedule then you should just stay home anyways. The administration and RBC center people are just a bunch of slack asses who don't care. They're getting their money either way so it doesn't matter to them.
1/11/2007 12:18:35 AM
bingooooo
1/11/2007 12:19:05 AM
we should all photoshop ourselves courtside seats and watch the clusterfuck ensue. Sometimes I think they'd be better off having students do the crap than their people.
1/11/2007 12:21:08 AM
you would immediately be referred to student conduct and banned from all games.happened last year i think.
1/11/2007 12:36:22 AM
I'm talking about a mass copy which would never happen though.
