Can you download playstation games? I'm talking PS1 here - Im a poor person and cant afford PS3s. I had read a few websites and I know there are some torrent files that are games but what disks do you put them on, just regular data disks?

dude, it's impossible to download ANY game from the internet

you'd have to mod your playstation to play them, requiring a mod chip, requiring money, which you say you dont have, so don't even worry about it.

12/22/2006 11:55:30 PM

12/22/2006 11:56:36 PM
and yeah Im kinda dumb to this stuff - so theres no need to flame - Ive been stuck with my nintendo and super nintendo for years and never cared for anything else

why not try googling for "playstation modchip"? I can guarantee you will find plenty of prices, instructions and resources to help you in your quest.

Mod chips (so far as I understand) are considered illegal and this thread will probably be locked as a result. They can range from cheap to expensive ... expensive being $50+ plus the time to download the games. You can certainly look into one, but it would be more economical not to (as previously mentioned). Most PS1/PS2 games drop down to $20 after a year or so and/or you can do the old-fashioned method, borrow the thing from a friend or suitemate.Otherwise, there are plenty of other forms of entertainment which are legal. This really isn't an option worth pursuing.

nothing wrong or illegal about modchips. Its the sale/distribution/procurement of the illlegal games that's illegal. Yea you can use a boot disc too, gets old as hell after about the second time you use it though.

i used to have a program for my apple laptop that would let you run PS1 games
12/23/2006 9:50:37 AM
You can play them on your PC if you have bleem.
12/23/2006 11:42:43 AM
yeah Ive got emulators and roms but I dont like playing them on the computer
12/23/2006 12:38:39 PM
how bad did bleem suck....if anybody even remembers what that was
12/23/2006 1:02:07 PM
I still have my bleem disc actually. It was awesome for Gran Turismo with a PS1 controller hooked up. For like 90% of the other games it sucked donkey ass
12/23/2006 1:04:01 PM
wait, besides the point, aren't ps1 games cheap as dirt right now? save some x-mas money and buy like a 100 for like 10 bucks
12/24/2006 1:33:37 PM
I bought 20 on ebay for $60 including shipping, but most of them were scratched and already disk doctored and still wouldnt play - thats about as cheap as I can find them - where I live, they are $15 used in stores and they only trade 3 for 1 - so they arent that cheap
12/24/2006 3:52:15 PM
how do you steal from the store? im poor, so i can't afford to actually buy things there
12/24/2006 4:32:24 PM
swap disk, load the boot sector off a real disk and switch to your bootleg. people will think youre omg leet if its like 97
12/24/2006 10:14:22 PM
this is impossible!
