man how do you go do a basketball school and not know how ncaa division I is structured

if there were a I-AA in basketball there would only be 130ish teams in I-A and half of them would get into the tourney

For real. Winston-Salem State just moved up to 1-A. ASU is trying to move 1-A in football sometime soon from what I hear.

^I dont think you understood what he was saying...and Winston-Salem State did not move to I-A...they moved from Division II in the CIAA to Division I as an independent; of course in football thats Division I-AA (or the championship subdivision if you want to call it that).

There is no D1-AA in basketball, only football. Division 1 is broken down into D1-A and D1-AA. But in basketball, division 1 is not separated at all.
