"Lowe added two more new players to his roster, both borrowed from new head coach Tom O’Brien’s football squad. Freshmen Darrell Davis and Jarvis Williams, who both redshirted in football this season, were in uniform on the bench Saturday, though neither saw action in the game. Davis is a 6-foot-5 swing player from Dade City, Fla., while Williams is a 6-foot-4 guard from Orlando. “They give us some bodies, some athletes,” Lowe said. “Once they learn the system and learning what we are going. They might be able to come in and give us some minutes.” ... The Wolfpack now have as many walk-ons (6) as it does active players available, at least until Ferguson and Atsur return."Found on gopack.com in notes from msm re-capwhat do you guys think, will they make any difference? and like my mom told Lowe when he brought 'em home, you can't keep 'em

I dont know, both guys have pretty good size and obviously their both athletic as hell. As soon as they learn the system, I would love to see them come in the game and give some good minutes.

They won't be productive most likely, but they can probably just come in and give the basketball players a breather for a few minutes.

I heard Degand is playing after new years

^ i think that's just wishful thinking at this point and he's going to have to sit the whole year. that'd be awesome if he could play, though.

my mom told me "if they cant use your comb, dont bring em home"maybe its something like that
12/17/2006 2:36:21 PM

Degand has to sit out the whole season.

Well it was originally thought that Wayne Morgan was fired for not making the nit but its pretty clear now that Iowa was forced to fire him because of recruiting violations and not performance issues. Often times in this situation they don't penalized players for transferring because they were pretty much forced to. With that said the ncaa is about to make a decision on the whole thing in the next 2 weeks. Degands eligibility should be included in that decision.

Jarvis Williams will contribute once he learns the system...he was all state for a few years and MVP of the 4a State Championship basketball game that his team won. I believe he had an offer from Cincinatti to play both football and basketball

FWIW, besides Albritton, Darrell Davis was the guy closest to the end of the bench that gets PT last night. Not sure if that means he will be the first walkon to get in or not:http://www.accbasketballphotos.com/2006/61216ncsumsm/acb061216100.html[Edited on December 17, 2006 at 5:25 PM. Reason : a]
