Took it this mourning and its HARD, as expected I guess....
12/13/2006 10:19:44 AM
I'm not surprised. He said it would be the hardest. I take it next week.
12/13/2006 10:49:43 AM
how many questions was it
12/13/2006 11:34:30 AM
It'll be 40 questions. He told us that there's a total of 100 questions for the entire course.
12/13/2006 12:10:02 PM
yep the exam was pretty damn hard...boy am i glad to be done with this class
12/13/2006 2:18:16 PM
I'm signed up to take this class next semester with Banks. What have I gotten myself into?
12/14/2006 2:27:47 PM
Open note, open book tests where the class averages 7.5/15 on the third test.
12/14/2006 2:30:50 PM
Why are the grades so low? Everyone else I've talked to that's had 360 with other profs said it's been one of the easiest classes they've taken.
12/14/2006 2:35:52 PM
He's admitted to teaching and testing on the master's level. He does curve final grades though. The top 30% make A's with the next ~20% making B's.message_topic.aspx?topic=435807

12/14/2006 2:47:54 PM
Thanks for the heads up. That class sounds ridiculous.
12/14/2006 2:48:37 PM
Yea I'm not looking forward to this exam at all. I'm reading the case and I don't even know where to begin in terms of preparing for what the questions might be.Ah well at least this class is almost over.
12/14/2006 4:15:15 PM
I haven't even started reading the case. I probably won't until after my final on Monday.
12/14/2006 4:34:47 PM
^ive been trying to make good notes too... after many attempts on google, the final exam case is one favored by harvard mba profs. and you can buy a book that helps explain the case study...i'm just going to make a list of what he could ask, i.e. who are the customers, do a break-even analysis, pro forma, etc. decide who and what is classified as a business or exec decision, etc
12/14/2006 4:37:32 PM
it's a good idea to make notes in the margins about what each paragraph is talking about and which product it's referencing so that you can easily find it to save you some time on the exam...that helped me
12/14/2006 5:39:04 PM
damn.
12/19/2006 6:37:51 PM
?
12/19/2006 6:39:16 PM
The final was . Five questions straight, I just put B.
12/19/2006 9:16:21 PM
It was fairly tough. I will admit it wasn't as ridiculous as I thought it would be, but a tough one nonetheless. I ended up blindly guessing on a few of the quantitative questions.I'm quite anxious to see what my grade in this class will be.
12/20/2006 1:09:16 AM
Yeah, I was okay except for the last set of quantitative questions.
12/20/2006 1:21:39 AM
^u should help me study for this next semester [Edited on December 20, 2006 at 1:42 AM. Reason : ha]
12/20/2006 1:42:35 AM
Are you kidding? I never even studied. I just printed out the slides and took notes. If the tests weren't open note/open book, I would have failed so bad.
12/20/2006 6:30:42 PM
got a B
12/20/2006 8:57:44 PM
so i signed up for the online section of bus 360...i hope it has the same book...if not i'll either sell it or sell it to the bookstore
12/20/2006 9:00:58 PM
if you do end up having to sell that... ncsu bookstores arent buying it saying "it won't be used in the spring"
12/20/2006 9:36:45 PM
are you talking about the Pride- Marketing book?
12/20/2006 9:45:05 PM
yes
12/20/2006 9:45:42 PM
wait are you saying i bought an old edition or something?[Edited on December 20, 2006 at 9:59 PM. Reason : .]i'm sure its good enough...its used online too[Edited on December 20, 2006 at 10:05 PM. Reason : .]
12/20/2006 9:58:57 PM
I actually thought it was easier than the last exam we had... fewer trick questions this time.
12/20/2006 10:47:03 PM
^^the edition used this semester is said to not be adopted for the spring. that's all I know. 2006 edition, Pride-Ferrell Marketing
