there are a lot of things to be concerned with. I looked at a few options when I was moving to San Diego and decided against it. The major reason was that i wanted it to be covered, and those are really expensive. The open-trailer options run about a grand as stated. Check the companies to see if they have depot-drops (that is, they sometimes trade cars between trailers and have them sit in lots overnight)...I wanted to be sure the car was on the same trailer start-to-finish. I also worked on getting the car stashed up-front on the trailer. Whereas H8R had to wait, a lot of these guys will move cars on and off as they go around the country. If you can get on the front, it's more likely that your car won't get moved until it's dropped off. Most of the company websites look like crap, but what do you expect, they're truckers. Research, call, look on owners fourms, etc. Rennlist was the best resource I had - I wante dto know what other Porsche owners used.In the end, it just wasn't worth it and I kept it in a garage back east and bombed around in a $1200 minivan for a couple of years

just drive the car to california if you are moving.otherwise, yep its going to be about 1k for an open trailer, and anywhere from 1500-3000 for an enclosed hauler.
