My computer blue screens when it boots (stop error is FILE_SYSTEM). I ran a diagnostic tool and it tells me that the metadata is inconsistent or corrupted. How do I go about fixing it? I've got a data recovery tool that can recover all the files on the drive to an image. Then I can write the data back to the disk, but is there some way to fix this directly? Wil chkdsk fix it (I'm about to run it)?

Looks like chkdsk fixed it. I'm backing up the drive now...
