12/11/2006 1:32:48 AM
vince young wins his last 3 games and he wins roy in a landslide write it down. especially aftertonightand ya drew brees as comeback player of the year makes no sense ... he should've went to the pro bowl last year[Edited on December 11, 2006 at 1:38 AM. Reason : couldnt play because of the injury]
12/11/2006 1:37:07 AM
coming back from a torn labrum and rotator cuff tear in your throwing shouldersounds like a comebackless you dont wanna call it a comeback
12/11/2006 1:39:47 AM
what about Pennington, or Carson Palmer then? Come back player typically refers to a player who has been out of football for an extended period of time because of an injury, not because they injured themselves in the last game of the season and start the next year.

^I disagree, mostly because he hadn't done much until recently. 4 of his 7 TD's came in one game. He has only recently made a huge impact, but not throughout the season like some of the other rookies.

12/12/2006 4:51:16 PM
12/12/2006 4:53:17 PM
ha, I played him at WR anyway cuz i had Gates. so Santana "I'll occaisionally have a 2 or 3 TD game to prompt fantasy owners to start me, then get NOTHING in the next game" Moss quickly lost his spot to Colston
12/12/2006 4:53:31 PM
we had a live draft...i ended up getting shockey, whitten and cooley...then my fucking commish decided instead of a TE spot, he'd have a W/T spot
12/12/2006 4:54:50 PM
I will never understand how the MVP is not either the Offensive POY or Defensive POY. It's stupid. They should really call it the Offensive Second Best Player of the Year.If you are the best player, then how can you NOT win the POY for your area?Just a pet peeve.

If you are going to say Offensive ROY you have to at least mention Maurice Drew. -He has scored 1 or more TD's in 9 of the past 11 games. -Good return average(27.6 yds) and 1 td-666 yds rushing(9 td's)-330 rec. yds(2 td's)

MVP = LTDefensive player of the year has to be TaylorOffensive player of the year has to be Drew BreesROY = Vince YoungCOY = Payton
12/13/2006 10:20:54 AM
^How does it HAVE to be Taylor?Urlacher will have some say in that. Both have had amazing years.
12/13/2006 10:23:13 AM
I personally feel like it comes down to Taylor and Merriman for making the biggest impact on their respective defenses. Merriman and the roids thing throws him out for winning any awards because that just sends a bad message. Jason Taylor continues to force fumbles, return interceptions for touchdowns, all while playing LB and DE. You are right that Urlacher will have a say, amazing player, but in terms of what he does for that whole team, I feel like Taylor has the better chance to win the award
