Drew Brees as comeback player of the year? Comeback from what?

As for MVP, it is hands down LT

Defensive player of the year Peppers

Rookie of the year will be Colston, Bush hasn't done anything to garner that claim

you have ryans right

Coach of the year will probably go to Payton

what about Pennington, or Carson Palmer then? Come back player typically refers to a player who has been out of football for an extended period of time because of an injury, not because they injured themselves in the last game of the season and start the next year.

Defensive ROY to Ryans, Offensive to Colston.

OPOY to Brees, Defensive to OH I DON'T KNOW, WHO THE FUCK WATCHES DEFENSE.

Comeback player of the year? Deuce.

MVP LADAINIAN TOMLINSON OR I WILL GOUGE A CAT'S EYES OUT.

Bush has still yet to do anything to deserve rookie of the year. And Kellen Winslow at this point is comeback player of the year

WTF? He's only got 79 receptions, scored 7 TDs, and helped (along with Brees, Colston, etc) turn the Saints offense into a machine. I'm not a Reggie Bush supporter in anyway, shape, or form, but the dude has made an impact and deserves mention in the ROY race.

^I disagree, mostly because he hadn't done much until recently. 4 of his 7 TD's came in one game. He has only recently made a huge impact, but not throughout the season like some of the other rookies.

biggest fantasy frustration: jacobs stealing all Tiki's TDs

Dudes got like 12-1300 yards and I think still just 1 Touchdown

I knew he'd take a few of tiki's scores but goddamn

ha, I played him at WR anyway cuz i had Gates. so Santana "I'll occaisionally have a 2 or 3 TD game to prompt fantasy owners to start me, then get NOTHING in the next game" Moss quickly lost his spot to Colston

I will never understand how the MVP is not either the Offensive POY or Defensive POY. It's stupid. They should really call it the Offensive Second Best Player of the Year.

If you are the best player, then how can you NOT win the POY for your area?

Just a pet peeve.

If you are going to say Offensive ROY you have to at least mention Maurice Drew.

-He has scored 1 or more TD's in 9 of the past 11 games.
-Good return average(27.6 yds) and 1 td
-666 yds rushing(9 td's)
-330 rec. yds(2 td's)

GAME OF THE YEAR: Chargers at Bengals
COACH OF THE YEAR: Mangini or Payton

Quote :

I think that the Player of the Year is the best player over the year, a "most outstanding player", and the MVP is the most valuable to their team. For example, MVP shouldn't come from a bad team, because they aren't having enough impact for their team to win, but the POY could come from a bad team if he sets all kinds of records and has a great year.

It works the same way in basketball, do you really think that Nash has been the best player over the past 2 years?

^How does it HAVE to be Taylor?

Urlacher will have some say in that. Both have had amazing years.

I personally feel like it comes down to Taylor and Merriman for making the biggest impact on their respective defenses. Merriman and the roids thing throws him out for winning any awards because that just sends a bad message. Jason Taylor continues to force fumbles, return interceptions for touchdowns, all while playing LB and DE.
You are right that Urlacher will have a say, amazing player, but in terms of what he does for that whole team, I feel like Taylor has the better chance to win the award
