I can't believe we got Tom O'Brien? YAY?

He's a good coach and all but it was time for BC to move on and there was no way he could be fired with the constant above averageness, but something just wasn't right. He was great at winning the easy games and I commend him for that. At BC you're not just playing against the other team and it proved too much against all the great, top teams that were near BC's level. Several championships have been squandered by O'Brien in the big games that he always lost because he sat back and let his team get robbed time after time. Just like this year. Should have been a perfect season. Glendale instead of Charlotte.

I'm sure BC will step up and get a stern/take no shit type of guy. Tom was not a great fit for BC but he should be good enough to do just fine at State where he won't have to worry about the same things and can just play football.

BC needs somebody with more character and attitude that won't just sit back week after week and allow the refs to screw his team out of ballgames. THIS IS LIKE A COACHES PRIMARY DUTY! When asked about the officiating after obviously blown games, never once did he speak out against the refs. He would just be like "O, things just didn't go our way"...GO FIGURE. We need someone that will risk their own image to stand up for their team and stand up and fight instead of sitting back getting slashed out of games by the zebras. A guy that can use vocal intimidation to go right up to the ACC/NCAA/media, get in their faces, and DEMAND FAIRNESS!


It was like killing two birds with one stone for me...

-This was like the only way we could get rid of him. Now we can grow
-NC State desperately needed any coach and got one.
