No I don't have a link to download it but this is really good. After hearing this I would love to hear the entire Beatles catalog remastered

I was really really skeptical about this record. The Beatles are one of the only things I hold sacred so the whole concept freaked me out. I bought it the day it was released and enjoyed it thoroughly. The mastering does sound incredible! It's a little cheesey in places, but there are some really cool things mixed together. It's not something I'll think of immediately when I want to listen to the Beatles, but it was cool to hear things mixed up a little, but not in a skank remix way. Also, it is the most stoner friendly thing I've heard in a while.

I think The Beatles should do a song with Tupac.

i thought the concept was pretty good, but overall im not that impressed. i listened to it a couple times, but i probably won't listen to it more then a time or two again.

i saw the show in vegas last month and let me tell you that it adds a ton to the experience. if you are a beatle fan you simply must go see it.

Congratulations on buying into yet another unimpressive, zero value added holiday season Beatles compilation CD.A winnar is yuo.

really not a fair assessment of this disc. It's not like this is just another repackaging of the old hits. George Martin and his kid did a really nice job of mixing and mashing these songs into something new. It def. works better if you are familiar with the staging of the cirque show, however, it stands on it's own very well. Listening to it in 5.1 is fantastic.

Is it better than the Anthologies?Anthology 2 was amazing, what with all the studio recordings and outtakes and alternate instrumentations and whatnot. I liked the original Sgt. Pepper much more than the one on the album.

Yeah, I listened to it in one sitting this afternoon. To be honest, I had low expectations, but I tried to go into it with an open mind. There is not a single track on this that I would rather listen to than any of the albums that the songs are originally from. I don't like them out of their natural context. I don't like the cheesy production. I don't like the transitions between the songs. It was safe, it was boring, and it was, all in all, an exercise simply further commercializing The Beatles, as if that were even possible.I love The Beatles, but I hate Love.If they'd had balls, they would have given this to The Neptunes or Timbaland or somebody who would take risks and actually make something interesting of it. They could have given different tracks to different artists to remix and go ahead and do away with the idea that there's any sort of continuity to be found among the tracks. I would kill for some fucking M83 Beatles remixes.Alas!

Fair enough

My parents got this for me for my Christmas stocking. Know how I know this? They opened it and burned it for themselves and have been listening to it in the car. Then they're gonna rewrap it and put it in my stocking.

Well, according to the Beatles, this album is all I need.
12/8/2006 9:47:28 PM
^^ i'm alerting the authorities

^I discovered that they didn't burn it anyway. They bought the two disc one and kept the DVD disc for themselves. They still deserve crappy parents award.

Yeah, Spookyjon has totally missed the point. This is a soundtrack for a show. Nobody is going to choose to listen to this over the originals, the same as the anthologies, the re-done Yellow Submarine compilation, and Let it Be...Naked, it's just a different perspective. That's why I really wasn't into the idea at first, then after reading that this was George Harrison's concept I thought I'd give it a shot. It's not better or as good as anything else. Also the point was to not use fake beats or add anything unoriginal to the music. It's a soundtrack for a Cirque du Soleil show, not a trendy hipster remix album. If they ever let the Neptunes ot Timbaland get near those tracks it would be fucking terrible. Who wants to hear Timbaland making those same tired ass comments over and over again! I agree there is some cheese, but I wasn't looking to make this my favorite album.

its really about context. There are parts of the show where the music (and how they put it together) makes a lot of sense to the visuals, however, listening to it outside of that context can change how a song "sounds".As a side note on the show, the girls that take your tickets are dressed in these powder blue meter maid outfits and frankly are about the hottest things on the planet. Just sayin'

it is amazing. everyone should own it, and listen to it at least once a day. i think the world would be a much, MUCH better place, within, like, a week, tops.
