the grammy's are hilarious. no one that actually listens to music in anyway can think any of those nominations for "album of the year" make sense. that john mayer album is fucking ridiculously terrible. and i don't even hate his other shit.

I have friends who previously despised Mayer before Continuum, but after listening to it, even they admit his guitar work is A+ on that album.

I'm not going to argue with anyone about music because I've learned in my five years of music writing that you can only present your opinion no change people's views. But I will say that it is mighty presumptuous to say, "no one that actually listens to music in anyway can think any of those nominations for "album of the year" make sense."

I listen to music in anyway and sans the JT album, which I don't think is even better than his first album, I'd agree with the nominees.

Continuum is so much better than his other albums. Only the JMT album comes close.

Agreed, I think JMT would be better if it had a handful more tracks . . . then again, then it would be called Continuum.

you honestly think those are the 5 best albums released this year? well, ok then. ironically the JT album is the best on that list.

I am not saying those five albums are the best, but I am saying no one can say they are not the five best. If you don't agree, fine, nor do I, but that doesn't mean they're wrong. Joe Somebody may agree with the list wholeheartedly, and he is not wrong to do so.

Five of the best, not the 5 best.
