You people better climb on while there's still room. After Sunday's game he'll be the darling of the Carolinas[Edited on December 7, 2006 at 11:42 AM. Reason : .]

I like DelhommeHail to the Redskins!
12/7/2006 11:43:00 AM
i am NOT on this bandwagon even though i think Delhomme is a scrub.Deangelo Williams will be the darling of the Carolinas after Sunday's game.
12/7/2006 11:44:17 AM
We'll get behind early, we'll have to go more to the passing game, Weinke will lead us back late, end up with 250+ passing yards, and everyone will love him.DeA won't even start, DeS has been in practice, and Fox said if he is healthy he will start.
12/7/2006 11:49:04 AM
screw DeS...I'm all for Weinke. per espn nfl 2k5, go home delhomme
12/7/2006 11:58:03 AM
the backup QB is always the most popular guy on the team
12/7/2006 12:13:31 PM
tell that to Jim Sorgi
12/7/2006 12:16:09 PM
weinke is a scrub.
12/7/2006 1:13:18 PM
does nobody remember when Weinke actually played? it doesnt seem like it.
12/7/2006 1:14:42 PM
1-15
12/7/2006 1:21:30 PM
^Seifert was running the west coast off. Weinke is the antithesis of a west coast QB....not mobile, and his best asset is his strong arm, which wasn't utilized. He was set up for failure. I'll bet we won't see the deep ball to smitty underthrown by 10 yards a la Delhomme.
12/7/2006 1:36:08 PM
i dont think you can hold the 1-15 over weinke right now. he has had years in the system now, and he was a rookie back then. and hell, 9 of those losses were only decided by one score. he stepped up last year in a crucial spot, and i wouldnt mind seeing what he could do.
12/7/2006 1:39:53 PM
this is a good move to go to Weinke. We have to attempt to save the season, its obvious we're going nowhere right now with Delhomme. If it doesn't work oh well, but I'm a fan of the QB change at this point.
12/7/2006 1:46:35 PM
in any case, i'm calling a huge game for Deangelo this week
12/7/2006 1:47:17 PM
way to go out on a limb there!
12/7/2006 1:52:44 PM
^^I wouldn't bet on it...he's not even starting....but watch for Shelton to have more of a role in the coming games (short yardage).also, Joe Montana could have been QB for the 1-15 team and they wouldn't have done much better. They were old, slow, and just generally a horrid football team, they did nothing well.[Edited on December 7, 2006 at 1:54 PM. Reason : .]
12/7/2006 1:54:18 PM
williams isnt starting?i read yesterday that foxy was starting foster and williams...def. williams- foster if his elbow felt good enough
12/7/2006 1:55:20 PM
12/7/2006 2:08:24 PM
^^^ exactly... it was like when Tim Floyd had to coach the Bulls after replacing MJ with Corey Benjamin. Nobody could've won with the group of guys they assembled.[Edited on December 7, 2006 at 2:08 PM. Reason : interruption]
12/7/2006 2:08:25 PM
Weinke wasn't that bad the season he started. It was the next two seasons in which he sucked badly.Probably a product of reduced repetitions in practice.Last year he looked good against Detroit. At this point he could be solid or garbage. I have no idea.I do know we cant win games with Delhomme anymore. He's lost his fucking mind out there.
12/7/2006 2:11:08 PM
12/7/2006 2:15:17 PM
Well Delhomme has had plenty of time for the most part this year (sans the Atlanta game and maybe the redskins)His main problem has been the lack of a running game and the total lack of a third target (HB, TE, WR anyone).Wait, did I say that was his main problem? I meant that was his second biggest problem. His main problem has been throwing backbreaking INTs, stalling drives on poor throws, not making any plays on third downs, and generally just being a poor game manager.
12/7/2006 2:23:38 PM
^haha, on point.[Edited on December 7, 2006 at 2:26 PM. Reason : you can almost see that he hasn't been the same since the nfc championship last year]
12/7/2006 2:26:18 PM
i thought his main problem was that when the panthers win, its because "smith just goes up and catch's jake's bad throws" but when we lose because keyshawn dives backwards 5 yards away from a perfectly thrown fade pass, its obviously jake's fault
12/7/2006 2:27:07 PM
supposedly he tipped the eagles off with his hip pat.
12/7/2006 2:28:03 PM
I seem to remember an amazing game winning drive that Weinke pulled out (against Detroit?) when Delhomme went down with an injury last year. We'll see what happens...[Edited on December 7, 2006 at 2:29 PM. Reason : []
12/7/2006 2:28:41 PM
doesnt change the fact that keyshawn was thinking pass interference the whole time instead of touchdown, or at minimum, knock the shit out of the DB to prevent the INT^against Detroit...and yeah he made a few passes to Ricky Proehl, the only Panthers receiver who he had any chemistry/timing with[Edited on December 7, 2006 at 2:29 PM. 12/7/2006 2:28:58 PM
i think jake delhomme is his own worst enemyi bet he gets that "dont fuck up" voice in his head and cant shake it
12/7/2006 2:29:59 PM
whether or not Foster starts will be irrelevant to the fact that during the majority of the game, Williams will be making the runs that will get us ahead
12/7/2006 2:34:07 PM
i wanna see more short passes to williams...that mf looked niiiiiice in the open field
12/7/2006 2:36:19 PM
i wanna see more short completed passes to williams...that mf looked niiiiiice in the open field
12/7/2006 2:37:11 PM
^he's got a helluva burst, once he catches the ball, he immediately separates from the nearest defender, its quite amazing to watch.
12/7/2006 2:42:47 PM
i wanna see more ONE short completed passe to williams...that mf looked niiiiiice in the open field
12/7/2006 3:07:13 PM
enjoy weinke while you can, even if carolina wins by 42 points fox will start delhomme the second he is healthy again
12/7/2006 3:08:58 PM
dont you think its strange that his thumb is sprained all of a suddenthis is no injury its a "lets let weinki have a try and if he sucks we'll put you back in"i expect if weinki does well jakes thumb will refuse to heal
12/7/2006 3:15:22 PM
12/7/2006 3:15:43 PM
12/7/2006 3:19:26 PM
^nah^^nope^^^not really
12/7/2006 3:20:08 PM
thats not my fault,^ & ^^haha delhomme is on the front page of ESPN nflhttp://sports-ak.espn.go.com/nfl/index?lpos=globalnav&lid=gn_NFL_NFL[Edited on December 7, 2006 at 3:23 PM. Reason : .]
12/7/2006 3:22:53 PM
hahahahahahahahah, it is funny that we beat the ravens pretty soundly tho.....we have the "play to the level of your competition" syndrome.
12/7/2006 3:33:39 PM
the Saints also
12/7/2006 3:39:49 PM
^ the saints game was pretty close until every saints player decided to make deshaun foster fumble... only nobody succeeded.also, dont you think its strange that his thumb is sprained all of a suddenthis is no injury its a "lets let weinki have a try and if he sucks we'll put you back in"i expect if weinki does well jakes thumb will refuse to heal
12/8/2006 1:21:43 AM
a weinki does not exist on the carolina panthers roster[Edited on December 8, 2006 at 2:32 AM. Reason : .]
12/8/2006 2:18:43 AM
aint it crazy that we could be 11-1 right now?thats best record in the league
12/8/2006 2:20:25 AM
12/8/2006 2:35:25 PM
^^That's like saying the Detriot Lines could be undefeated right now. A loss is a loss no matter how you lose it. I hate it that those dumbass ESPN 'analysts' keep saying that shit about us.
12/8/2006 2:50:50 PM
but the diff is we had a 4th quarter lead in all of our games except the season opener. Unfortunately, we lost gave away 5 of those
12/8/2006 2:55:25 PM
i have never, ever liked Weinke, so its saying a helluva lot that Delhomme has fucked up enough to make me actually want to see what Weinke could do with this offense. I mean hell, it definitely wasn't up to this caliber when he last started, maybe there's something there.
12/9/2006 11:11:55 AM
I hope they Draft a FUCKING QB!!!!!!!!!!!
12/9/2006 11:57:09 AM
WE NEED KERRY COLLINS BACK!!!! the only real qb we ever had![Edited on December 9, 2006 at 12:05 PM. Reason : Kerry, not chris]
