presentation?we all know its Troy Smith.its possibly the easiest pick of the year.

Deraney for Heisman
12/5/2006 8:38:57 PM
Brady Quinn because he goes to Notre Dame even though they got beat twice by over 20.
12/5/2006 8:38:59 PM
I hadn't realized until now that JaMarcus Russell had the 3rd-best QB rating in the NCAA this season.[Edited on December 5, 2006 at 8:42 PM. Reason : but yeah, Smith is the obvious #1 pick]
12/5/2006 8:40:35 PM
Next year it will be Brian Brohm if he stays another year. How come I am the only one who realizes how good this guy is?
12/5/2006 8:43:00 PM
Slaton or White next yearBrohm is good but hes not flashy
12/5/2006 8:44:02 PM
um i'm pretty sure brohm gets jocked by everyone
12/5/2006 9:15:36 PM
Doug Evans next year
12/5/2006 9:19:58 PM
Then why wasn't he invited to the Heisman ceremony?
12/5/2006 9:20:07 PM
Because he missed 3 games and took a long time to get back to his usual self after that wrist injury...He will be the best pro QB though out of anyone in this class...
12/5/2006 9:25:03 PM
Troy Smith shouldn't be eligible for the Heisman. He took money from a booster.
12/5/2006 9:35:38 PM
and the fact that he was the big east offensive player of the year last year and competed for the starting job as a freshman against stephan lefors...there was a lot of talk at that time that he might have even been the best qb on that team
12/5/2006 9:37:43 PM
Garret Wolfe
12/5/2006 10:23:58 PM
I think Wolfe might actually make it to New York City for the presentation. I don't think he will win because he plays at NIU. Due to the week class I think Brady Quinn, Wolfe, Troy Smith, Jarrett (USC's WR) and maybe even Adrianne Peterson will be there. I'm not sure who would replace Peterson, but he had an awesome year until he got hurt, and because he got hurt, he may not be high enough in the running.

next years frontrunnersslatonwhiteharthennebrohmrussell
12/5/2006 10:35:04 PM
quinn's numbers are more impressive than troy smith's but they always give it to the guy who wins more games even though it's an award for the best player
12/5/2006 11:19:06 PM
Daniel Evans Justin Burke for Heisman 2007
12/5/2006 11:20:24 PM
^^ quinn also padded the shit out of his stats against shitty opponents every time weis' fatass gave him the chance. On the season: Quinn: 274/432 = 63.4%, 35 TD's and 5 INT, 3278 passing yards total, ~ 7.6 yds/attempt, 65 yds rushing. 151.6 passer ratingSmith: 199/297 = 67.0%, 30 TD's and 5 INT, 2507 passing yards total, ~ 8.4 yds/attempt, 233 yds rushing. 167.9 passer ratingQuinn averaged 36 pass attempts per game while Smith (under Tressel who can actually manage games with the lead) averaged almost 25. Given an extra 11 attempts each game, especially on downfield throws like Weis calls even when up big, Smith would have destroyed Quinn's numbers this year.Against Michigan:Quinn: 24/48 for 234, 3 TD's and 3 INT's in a 47-21 loss AT HOMESmith: 29/41 for 316, 4 TD's and 1 INT in a 42-39 win in the horse shoeAnd the most important stat: Quinn is 10-2, Smith is 12-0. I personally think Peterson had it locked up till he got hurt, but Smith deserves it now

Daniel Evans Justin Burke Andre Brown for Heisman 2007 if he can get over transfer threats and play.[Edited on December 6, 2006 at 12:27 AM. Reason : missed a /]
