As most people know, I install car audio. I also seem to be the TWW pawn shop for used equipment. If you want nicer stuff, I can usually locate specific items as well.I am offering up my services for building sub boxes. If you can draw it, or see it in your head and I can draw it, I can make it for you. This includes everything from basic rectangle boxes through hidden floors and fiberglass. Here are some examples.JL: 1000/1, 250/1, 12w7, 8w7, capacitorKicker 10'' Comp VR, Memphis 300x22 Boss 10'', 2 MA Audio 12'', crappy prebought generic boxes, Kenwood 75x4, Lightning Audio 60x2, Thump 760, hinged hidden subfloor.2 RF 10'' P1, custom boxJL 300/2, Memphis 12 M3Kicker 15L7, 2 Kicker 10'' Comp VR, Memphis 300x2, Hifonics Brutus 1000x1All the boxes I build are first hand drawn, then done in MS Paint, then modeled in CAD. This ensures that they are built properly every time. Each box is unique and built to the specs of the equipment that is going to be used.MS PaintCADConstructionSome designs are even built first to have a basic representation.I can have any type of terminal cup installed, bananna plug posts, or a sealed hole with wire run through depending on your preference. Carpet can be any color or pattern. Paint, leather, and other finishes can be applied.Prices will be vary on each box and the options desired.A basic box, with minimal frills will run about $50.A more complex box with some frills runs about $75.Fitted contour boxes, FG boxes, painted, etc. will run $150+.Remember, these boxes are built for your vehicle and for the equipment that you are using. They are much higher quality than anything you can buy at Circuit City, Best Buy, or other high volume stores.Feel free to ask any questions.[Edited on December 4, 2006 at 11:57 AM. Reason : .]

12/4/2006 12:28:53 PM
a couple of those designs/ setups probably getting alot of cancellation and or turbulance, depending on the goals of the system though it's a small price to pay to have ur ish look that good. nice work.

I like them. But, it's not completely necessary right now and I don't think it'd be that cheap. Good work though, might look you up in the future.

One person has commisioned me. Anybody else?
12/16/2006 11:18:20 PM
i thought the first thing they teach you at install school is to never bolt the amp to a box
12/16/2006 11:23:03 PM
i was about to post the same thing about the amp mounted to that box. ouch
12/17/2006 11:05:31 AM
amps have no problems being mounted to boxes. Anyone who knows about installs knows that.
12/17/2006 1:56:06 PM
Its exposing it to unnecessary vibrations and it makes it easier for someone to steal your stuff. Also mounting screws can pull out of MDF, especially in a humid environment. And in that install that amp has zero air flow.
12/17/2006 3:50:04 PM
amps on boxes are generally a sign of an amature install^ a few reasons why this is the case
12/17/2006 5:26:48 PM
I build boxes to what people want. How is that hard to understand? Are you two just trying to be assholes? If people want it seperate, it will be. If they want it attached, it will be.

I have 3 satisfied customers so far.

haha- I love how Guth's posts in here about moisture and screws coming loose from mdf are all copy and pastes from first results on google search... loleither way- Daryl does amazing work for very reasonable rates.... lets keep it on topic as you will not find this quality of work for double the price at any local shop.

Daryl just finished an enclosure for me this weekend. This kid does fantastic work. Very detail-oriented. I am exceptionally pleased. You'd be a fool to do it yourself, especially for his rates. I'll be employing his services again in the near future on some pod work.
