i think the transmission on my 99 honda accord is going back, the transmission "area" makes noise when the car is on park or in neutral, at first i thought it was the timing belt cause it sounded like a belt, but i checked the noise and indeed its coming out of the transmission.

any suggestions?

yeah some of the honda automatics from that era were complete shit. you're on borrowed time... friend of mine had the tranny go out on his 2000 V6 accord (was still on warranty though) and another friend had his 97 2.2 CL shit a tranny

The tranny on my 01 accord went out last year. There is a recal on them. It extends the warranty to 7yrs /100k miles. I got a letter not to long ago, about a class action suit against honda. I think they are suppose to extend the warranty a little more. It's worth checking in on to see if your under the recall.

call the dealer to see if there is a recall or somethign, but dont pay to have it fixed there. try north raleigh transmission on atlantic.
