so i am trying to buy a car and i want some input from you guys, i will probably put 5 - 8k down and finance the rest. I want a car thats not very expensive to ensure like a 350z. New or used doesnt matter, as long as its not an amercian car.
12/3/2006 7:09:36 PM
new or used?
12/3/2006 7:15:58 PM
1997 BMW 540i six speed
12/3/2006 7:16:39 PM
So do you want a sedan, coupe, conv? Sports car, luxury car?I'd say 350Z or S2000
12/3/2006 7:18:20 PM
Why don't you be more specific?
12/3/2006 7:21:20 PM
i guess cars labeled as "sports car" are out, i wanted a 350z, but my insurance agent said my insurance would be 1800/6-months for a 350z anything else works, luxury, sedan, coupe, SUV ..etc
12/3/2006 7:23:33 PM
new civic (Si)the usual camry, accord, altima, maxima
12/3/2006 7:31:41 PM
car has to be fun to driveno boring things like civic accord camry maxima altima
12/3/2006 7:34:05 PM
4 door g35 manual
12/3/2006 7:42:22 PM
those are fun to driveespecially the civic Si (high revs, lightweight, 6speed?). nowadays, Nissans are always complimented for their handling, too.by "fun to drive" do you mean AWD/RWD? G35, 3series, wrx, evo, IS250/350
12/3/2006 7:52:14 PM
Make sure to shop around for insurance. Liberty Mutual said it'd be an extra 1k/ year to add my new truck, but geico ended up being less than $300 over what I was paying for car+bike.
12/3/2006 8:11:30 PM
Mazdaspeed 3. 268hp 155mph top speed, around $23 new. and its a 5 door hatchback should it shouldn't be bad for your insurance.
12/3/2006 8:13:28 PM
You guys obviously don't know the insurance groupings

12/3/2006 9:35:43 PM
i've got a 2005 maxima - it's a fun car to drive imho - although if you were going to track it or anything on a regular basis you would want something smaller ideally - go test drive one
12/3/2006 9:43:13 PM
^ or he could get a g35 that drives better rides better looks better handles better and has a sharper turning radius ohh and i have driven both so this isn't just a guess or a magazine read... this is 100% certified butt dyno info.
12/3/2006 9:52:24 PM
^ i agree with the pluses - the only reason to get the maxima over the g35 would be the extra room, price, and depending on whether you wanted fwd or rwd also
12/3/2006 9:56:39 PM

12/3/2006 9:58:57 PM

6 speed RSX type S, or if you prefer more practical, 6 speed TSX? Those are on the less hardcore sporty side.[Edited on December 4, 2006 at 1:17 AM. Reason : don't get an Audi unless you love maintainance headaches]

^ i am graduating and getting a good job, i want a car i can enjoy.Volvo say one thing about you: "i enjoy alot of things in life, but driving aent one of them"same applies to toyota'sI am not looking into performance as much as i am looking into looks, class and reliabilityhowever, i wont even consider a car with less than 200 horses or a car older than a 2000Also, i am not into modifying cars and racing, so forget about Honda Si, E36 and all those easy-to-modify carsX5 4.4 --> 282 hp[Edited on December 4, 2006 at 12:10 PM.
