yes, fishy. there are lots of puppy scams and the like on CL. Even if it weren't for all the rest, the backpedalling and the willingness to give you "his" SSN would be tipoffs as you prob already know.

dude...a dog coming from cameroon. ya...that's really legit even if it was, why would you subject a poor puppy to that long of a flight

Well, when you DO get a bulldog, make sure to set up a large health fund for it. Maybe get pet insurance.

That's fucking sketch homes.I got bulldog I grabbed from craigslist. But that was an adoption for a 6 year old english bulldog from a grandmother who was about to have grandkids and couldn't take care of both. Not some prince from Cameroon that is willing to give you his family's fortune or however the scam goes.If you are seriously willing on driving places for a bulldog, I suggest Petfinder.com. I looked there once and a while and I almost got a young bulldog from Raleigh, but there were like 50 other applicants. IF you REALLY want a bulldog, adopting on that website from Florida or the Midwest might be a better opportunity than, I dunno, a country in Africa.Check it out, you might be surprised.

if you have to ask maybe you should rethink the whole being responsible for an animal thing

I tried to sell a tractor on WRAL and got something along the lines of that, from some Nigeria company - they sent me fake money orders though, which looked so freaking real (almost got me arrested, the bank called the police) - watch what you sell or buy online, its freaking crazy

Let me know when and if you find a good one, because I am interested as well.I wanted one terribly, and then gave up once I did research into price and medical costs, and now Rob & Big has me wanting one again.I did find this website.http://www.pop-n-sonbulldogs.com/purchase.htmwhich looks cool because its local, but it looks like they only do mixed breeds. Plus the condition of some of those look less than "happy" at least to my untrained eye.

OH IT HAS TO BE A SCAM...CUZ HE'S BLACK. RACIST FUCKS.

^^ Well, I figured it was a scam from the start but after I received 2 letters from people in the US, a few phone calls, and the money orders (that looked so freaking real, just missing the watermark) - i figured, hey why not see if they are real - i figured they weren't, but I just wanted to check anyway - so I went to the bank and said, hey I think these are fake because they were sent through the mail from a weird company but I want to check anyway, and I wanted to know if anything could be done about it if they were fake (considering the fact that I had the return address, which was probably fake also) - the bank then thought I had made the money orders and called the police

Why is that Pop and son breeding mixed breeds? That is soooo stupid to me There are plenty of mixed breeds in the shelters. Urghhh. Looks like backyard breeder/puppy mill to me. Boxer, bull dog, boston terrier. He is not looking to improve the breed.

^No, maybe he's looking to create another popular mutt breed like the puggle or labradoodle. Also, a lot of people breed bulldog mixes for people who want a bulldog, but not the horrendous health problems. I say it's perfectly legit.[Edited on December 3, 2006 at 11:46 AM. Reason : merf]
