I'm working on a music site and have asked a few people, including one of the professional graphic designers at my consulting firm, to help with the logo design and site layout. I'm wondering if anyone has an idea of what I should expect as a reasonable quote for the work I'm asking for? There's a test page that dumps the information being laid out at http://www.darktronica.com... any of the bands currently listed have relatively complete content. All I need is a logo design (I've provided a concept and mostly just need professional execution of it, though I'm open to the possibility that they may have better ideas), layout of the pretty standard information from the test page, and an outer frame for the site that includes navigation between bands (a dropdown menu with 200+ bands would be horribly obnoxious, the test page is totally just a test) and a general look and feel of the site.I expect no photography to be required, and no extras needed such as research, etc. Also, no Flash or anything fancy; pretty standard stuff. Also, I'm only asking for the logo and a mockup of the layout. I'm planning to take the mockup myself and rip the design elements out to do the coding and writing the CSS myself for it once I have the overall design.Posted here in Tech Talk since I figure some of you who do web design are more likely to have experience with this sort of thing.
