I know it's early, but...Standings as of 11/29:Boston Celtics 5-8Toronto Raptors 5-9Philadelphia 76ers 5-9New Jersey Nets 5-9New York Knicks 5-11The fact the Isaiah-led Knicks are 1.5 games out of 1st place is shameful."Thanks to my division championship last season at 38-44, I have decided to retain my services as coach."

when i think about the bobcats bein 4-10, and then i look at that division, i have hope.
11/29/2006 2:10:15 PM
it would be hard to put together a playoff team with any of the players from this division.seriously, go through the rosters.
11/29/2006 2:20:54 PM
kiddiversoncarterboshi dont know who for center, kristic i guessThat team might finish 4-6th in the west

KiddIversonPierceBoshCurryi know Curry doesn't rebound. But Kidd is the best rebound PG, Pierce is the best rebounding SF, and bosh is an adequate rebounder and decent defender. Curry offers one of the best post games in the league......and that's it. This would be a good team. I'm sure it is no better than any other division all star squad though.[Edited on November 29, 2006 at 7:31 PM. Reason : defend my Curry selection.............damn shitty division.]
11/29/2006 7:18:48 PM
pretty shitty, huh

Well, looks like Iverson will have to be removed from the "Atlantic Division All-Stars".

This is why the NBA should have stayed with two divisions per conference. I wish someone in the NBA office had gotten the memo of the possiblity of a division champion not only having a losing record but also having home-court advantage in the first round. They got lucky last season with the Nets, but it may finally catch up with the league this season.
12/13/2006 1:37:44 AM
^ first of all the division champion doesnt get homecourt advantage. The Clippers had homecourt advantage last year even though the nuggets won their divisionand im pretty sure they changed the rules regarding seeding this year because of the dallas/san an problem last year
12/13/2006 1:47:29 AM
I bet the Celtics would have a good record in a different division. No team can do great in this division.
12/13/2006 1:49:38 AM
^ huh? all the teams suck. if you put those teams in the western conference theyd be 25 game winners instead of 35.p.s. Still a big fan of you[Edited on December 13, 2006 at 1:50 AM. Reason : a]

^^ Are you fucking kidding me? The best team in that division, the Nets, are at 400. Seriously, if the Celtics were in any other division, they would have an even worse record than they have now. The current incarnation of the Celtics is a disgrace to the memory of Red Auerbach.
