OK, so many know I'm a Navy grad. With Amato being gone, some NCSU folks have visited out board. A fellow Navy grad posted that UNC has more passionate football fans than NCSU. I want a pic of the game when that place was red - I know because I was there but sans camera. These Navy guys are getting on my nerves.

I tried a search but only came up with some photoshopped version where the whole place was red.

i know that's not real - there was blue there that day...a lot of red but not that much red...i mean you can even see where he got sloppy with the red filter over the press box and trees

thats not the pic im thinking of, im thinking of the one where unc doctored it to look like they actually had fans and in reality most of the fans there were from state, it was like 70/30 red

yeah that picture cant be the same, if it was the only thing that would change was the color of the fans

in that picture the clouds are all different and the players on the field are in different places

Check out the ACC 50th anniversary logo on the 25 yard line.

(And I've investigated this before.... we're the only red team they played at home that year. Maryland was away if I remember correctly)

I used to have the stats for percent capacity attendance for all Div I schools. I had to reformat due to a pretty nasty virus.


Anyone have that? (The link?)

State has been top 5 in % capacity for the past 4-5 years IIRC.

We were 6-0 going into that game and I remember listening to it on the radio and the announcers mentioned that it was like a home game for us.

And wasn't that the year that the UNC bball coach told fans not to sell NCSU students tickets for the basketball game at UNC following what happened at the football game?

I might have just made that all up though, been up all night writing a paper.

The funniest part was the reason they used the NCSU game photo. That was the only game that the stadium was full, they could photoshop fans in red but not empty seats.
