all internal, all 9.5mm height drives (the standard size) except the 60GB which is taller. I think the 60GB only fits certain IBM laptops but I'm sure someone else will know for sure.

as far as macs go, from what i can tell they use the exact same drives. again someone else might be able to confirm.

loosk like the 60gb is a 12.5mm drive...which fits more laptops than just ibms. still have the 40 too.
