i took my phone into verizon over the break to get it fixed and they said i was eligible to get a new phone, and since it would cost 25 to get it fixed, i opted to get a new one. i was told to come in to the store on friday because t hey were gonna have a lot of sales, well i go in and only the chocolate went on sale which i didnt want. i didnt want to spend more than $50 on a new phone so i had limited options, it was between the lg vx8300, the razr and 2 nokias which i didnt like, i went with the razr but after reading things about the LG VX8600 i'm wondering if i should take back the razr and get the LG, the LG is $80 more, does anyone have this phone that can persuade me to go ahead and do this or just keep the razr? any user opinions would be much appreciated.

they have essentially the exact same features, besides the 8600 has the music buttons on the outside (like the krazr)...But i would take the LG over the razr anyday... either the 8300 or the 8600 will both be nicer phones than the razr..The razr software is more laggy, and the 8300 (maybe the 8600 too i believe) has the flash menus.. so it's pretty cool...and both look better. and i think they are both tri-mode, where your razr is all digital

8300 and 8600 are just digitallg is better because you can use bitpim

If you had to choose between 8300 and 8600, which would yall suggest?Honestly, I just want a phone that will allow me to hook up to my comp and get some songs on it so I can use it as an mp3 player as well

Get the 8300. I have it and used to sell them. 8600 ain't nothing more than the buttons on the outside and more expensive. They have the same guts under the hood.

on a side-by-side comparsion on Verizon's website, it says the 8300 does not have a mp3 player...is that incorrect?

It has an mp3 player.I think it encodes to WMA or something like that, but I have 215 on mine on my belt right now.
