Anybody have any idea what it would cost yearly for late model Benz if I drove 25k miles a year and had it serviced at the dealership?Oh and slaptit your XJ is gay.

depends on what year you mean? very late models are maintained free as long as its under warranty

Say a 05 with 25k or so miles?

Um, nice choice of cars...that's what my mom drives.

mid-size, rwd, 0-60 in 7.1sec (not fast I know, but quick enough), 37mpg highway, and a diesel that in much older generations runs forver. I want a car that is comfortable on long trips. But yea it is kinda boring.

not a bad selection. I have a 03 530i with the manual transmission. Its a good blend of power, comfort, and good gas milage. It is nice having a roomy 4 door car.

what does your 530i have to do with mercedes benz?

^^how exactly does your completely different car compare?i have no idea on cost, but i think the CDI's are pretty sweet. assuming no major repairs, i would think 400-600 bucks would be a pretty fair budget for routine services.[Edited on November 20, 2006 at 10:52 PM. Reason : .]

^^german?Primer how long is the warranty for these things? I should just research it but I figured some of ya'll would know off the top of your head.600 isn't too bad. I forsee a lot of interstate driving in the future after school...I wanted something with room and is comfortable at 80 miles an hour for a extended length of time. I should just get a fucking Taurus or something like that...[Edited on November 20, 2006 at 10:56 PM. Reason : ^]

my grandma has one of these, 06 I think. It is a wonderful car for cruiseing down the interstate. She told me that she looked down at her speedo on her way to florida last winter (I know, right) and was doing 95 and didn't know it.I've put about 100 miles on it myself, and am very impressed. off idle power is like a jet engine, extremely smooth but immediate. It isn't "fast" like a late model F body or vette, but it is very smooth and linear and gets up to speed in a hurry. It feels like it has the same rate of acceleration at 70 as it does from rest.[Edited on November 20, 2006 at 11:21 PM. Reason : .]

this is what happens when you put a chevy in an olds... you dont get too familiar with that torque feeling.

why don't you actually keep a car for more than a year and go from there..............[Edited on November 21, 2006 at 9:09 AM. Reason : psi]

that just seems like too many miles for an expensive car. I would want a shitbox of some sort for that kind of mileage.

ive heard rumors of the auto transmissions goin bad early on them, but this is pure speculation

My cousin had a '94 MB E400 (400E?) for a while. Basically the older version of that car with a V8. It was the best highway cruiser car I've ever been in. The maintenance costs on it killed him when it was about 10 years old though, so he sold it. He loved it up until that point though.
