from my laptop, much like the macbooks do, don't want to get a macbookis there anyway i can do this that wouldn't be crazy expensive and would still be portable

well if i can do it for cheaper than a wireless router, then it makes it easier for when i go to a friends room or they come to mine for us all to have internet access

it's also not always easy to actually get working with windows ICS, even if you follow the instructions to a T. last time i tried this with windows ICS i gave up and used a third party firewall/routing/ics program.
