I'm kind of surprised Lotus let them do this, considering how they did in the last DARPA challenge.I wonder though if all the teams this year are going to copy the winning strategy Stanford used last time.[Edited on November 20, 2006 at 11:17 AM. Reason : ]

^^it's very different this year. it's an urban setting, not offroad. it has to be able to navigative traffic circles, stoplights, etc

I know that.But, a visual mapping system would still be very capable and robust.
