There are a bunch - most restaurants stay open for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day - those are some of their busiest days. A friend of mine who was a manager @ Outback told me this.

^^Mexican places or just about any foreign food place... seeing how Thanksgiving is an American specific holiday.

Irregardless Cafe on W. Morgan street will be having several seatings for a traditional thanksgiving dinner. You can also order a take out box for 4 or 8 people. That would be my best bet for GOOD thanksgiving food.

I went to Outback last year (both parents had to work). They change their menu for the day to include a lot of Thanksgiving type foods, but they have their normal stuff too.

Angus barn has a huge Thanksgiving day buffet. Had every room in the place packed with people waiting outside to get a seat. But it was very very good food. I can't remember if it was $35/plate and I just mentally bumped it up to $50/plate with tip, or if it was $50/plate.

Its $35/plate per their website. It also has their menu up as well

Oh god...one year my family's Thanksgiving plans got horribly mangled, so there we were cousins, aunts, uncles, and everyone eating at Golden Corral.

they are looking for an excuse for a day off just as much as americans are, not to mention how many americans celebrate a certain mexican independence day. (well at least we drink on cinco de mayo)

I can't remember why, but last year I think we ended up hollaring at Boston Market on Thanksgiving.

Oh yeah, I was working on Thanksgiving. We did the big dinner thing on Wednesday, and we got some turkey and whatnots from Boston Market on Thursday. It was kind of nice, actually. It was primarily immigrants eating there, but they were all eating turkey and stuffing. America! Fuck yeah.

Chop's Steakhouse in Garner will be open for an upscale Thanksgiving buffet. Think Angus barn or Ruth's Chris.

cinco de mayo is not mexican independence day. it celebrates the victory of mexican forces over the french at the battle of puebla. mexican independence day, the Grito de Dolores, is september 16.

I'm going to Carver's Creek...I went to the North Raleigh Hilton one time too. Seeing that Carver's Creek is booked you should call up the Hilton.

I used to go to this place called Wivi and Me in Cary and that place was GOOOD.

Not as much as you think. People sit there forever to "spend time with their family," something the server can't do.

What was funny about it, was it was in the Burlington mall, and everything else was open, all the other restaurants and stores were open, except the mexican one.
