12 EAGLES EARN POSTSEASON ALL-CIAA HONORS: The only other team in school history to have more all-conference selections was the 1973 MEAC Championship squad of head coach Willie Smith. The defending CIAA champion North Carolina Central University Eagles had 12 student-athletes selected to the First and Second All-CIAA football teams, while freshman quarterback Stadford Brown was chosen as the conference's Offensive Player of the Year. Joining Brown on the All-CIAA First-Team were senior tight end Kenneth Broadway, junior place-kicker Brandon Gilbert, senior wide receiver Charles Futrell, senior offensive lineman Robert Duncan, senior offensive lineman Sam Funches, senior defensive lineman Greg Peterson, senior linebacker Naim Abdul-Malik, junior defensive back Craig Amos and senior defensive back Andre George. Senior wide receiver Julius McClellan and junior punt-returner Brandon Alston were named to the Second Team.

NCCU STAYS AT NO. 3 IN REGIONAL POLL: NCCU remained at No. 3 in the southeast region poll this week, after Newberry College and the University of North Alabama won their respective games. NCCU (10-0, 7-0) has not lost a regular season game in 402 days.

Even BETTER News, i just found out that #1 ranked in the Southeast Newberry Lost, which means..NCCU is going to move up in the regional rankings from 3rd to possibly 2nd, b/c we wont jump over N. They were shut out and at home..so N. Alabama will move up to 1st probably, NCCu will move up to 2, Im not sure who will get the 3 spot..but Elizabeth City State..DEFINITELY deserves to make the NCAA DII play-offs they were the BEST team BY far we played all season...they were 1,000 times better than Southern University when I was down in Baton Rouge....


The fans today were fucking crazy...and I loved how the students all rushed the field...I just wished we would of torn down one of the goal posts!!
