I need to convert a CD to a digital file so that I can use the music in a video for self use.

What might be some options for this? ie services, pay someone, what else?

Anything that can rip a CD does this. iTunes, WMP, Winamp, etc.

Wikipedia has alot of tools listed for CD rippers: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD_ripper

my favorite has always been Exact Audio Copy (EAC)

CDs ARE digital.
